It's a gorgeous park, but we came here for the dog park specifically. The entrance is a bit of a walk from the nearest parking lot. The dog park has one bench per side, but as far away from the entrance as possible, so it's difficult to have a place to settle in even without a handicap, and I can't imagine how hard it would be for elderly or disabled people. There are free poop bags. The trash can is outside the fenced in area, so you'll need to leave to throw away the poop. There's no enrichment, but at the back end there are pine trees which provide some shade if you walk over there. There is a functioning water fountain with a dog bowl outside of the entrance. Overall it's not bad if your dog just needs an empty field to run in and if you're okay with standing around or sitting on the ground in the sun or rain. For us it was too bare, as well as lonely, as there were no other visitors on a nice sunny day for a while, and then just one other person. We got overheated and...

All the owners and the dogs were great and we plan to make it back soon! Thank you to all who welcomed Meesha and I into the...

Water is shut off outside of dog area (probably just for the winter). Be sure to bring your own for your dog. Must say that for the most part owners clean up after their dogs. It is dissapointing that some don't exposing all the dogs that play there to viruses, parasites...
