Veterans Memorial Stadium — Attraction in Troy

Troy University is an excellent school! It's a gorgeous campus and everyone is very friendly and helpful when you have questions. The stadium is something to see --- It's spectacular! My husband, Jim Kirby was on the football team 1963 - 1967. My daughter attended school there in 1997, she loved every minute she was there. Just the time since her graduation Troy has continued to grow by leaps and bounds. The stadium is state of the art for the team and coaches as well as the fans. It's beautiful and wonderful accommodations for everyone, its easy access to enter and very comfortable. The state of Alabama and the town of Troy can be extremely proud of this university and all the facilities. If you haven't been there lately you need to plan a trip, you will enjoy the time you spend there and feel proud that we have this university in our state. I admit that a lot of members of my family are Troy grads, so please forgive my bias. We love football season at the Vet, and are proud season ticket holders! A game at the Vet guarantees a good football game for sure, even though this year was a bit of a rebuilding season. But the experience itself is worth coming. Just like the University itself, a game here is small enough that you aren't overwhelmed by overcrowding, while big enough that one gets a great game experience. The Sound of the South marching band is Top Ten in the country. The pregame experience leading up to kickoff is awesome, while the activities during commercial breaks are always entertaining. Plus, I can go to six home games as a season ticket holder for less than $100. You just can't beat it. Well done Troy University! ...

Attended the Trojan vs. Army game recently and purchased tickets in stadium seating. Staff were very professional and helpful from the entrance, all the way to the ladies and gentlemen there helping direct people to their seats. The food was just ok, nothing special or worth the price they asked for it. I wish that they would offer more selections for alcohol during football games, at a minimum, maybe some wine for the non...
