BEST time ever! đŸ›¶ Military discount available! Call and ask ahead. We appreciate that they appreciate my husband’s service. My family did a 1/2 day PM trip at the Truckee River location. The main guy was Nate. He was hilarious and extremely knowledgeable. He was a nationally ranked competitive Kayaker (No. 15). The driver and photographer was Will. This guy is versatile and very approachable and kind. He was playing a parlor guitar in the van and seems unassuming but the man is in shape and running up hills capturing us in photos along the trip down the river. There were many guides that seem so nice and patient; ours was “Chin”. There is a limit of 5-6 people so it was just us 4 and Chin. He was the perfect guide to go with us on our raft. He gave us clear instructions and we kicked butt on the trip. Everyone stayed in the raft. No “swimmers” lol. This was my kids’ first time rafting and also mine but we have kayaked a lot. My husband said he river rafted in Thailand a long time ago but Chin explained everything perfectly to us and kept us encouraged and motivated. The energy was amazing. We worked as a team and had an exciting trip! If the temp is below 80 I HIGHLY suggest you grab one of the free to use jackets. Wrap it around your waist and use it when needed. You will have time to put it on along the trip. Just as your guide when is a good time. I was the only one wearing one and the top half of me stayed dry and warm while my family was freezing. It was 75ish degrees but the water was cold. So just take it! You may not need it but if you do, then at least you’ll be prepared! Also do NOT take any electronics or jewelry. Just leave it behind. You won’t need it. The RV park where the pick up/drop off site is at is very safe. You’re good. And they will lock up the car keys so you are perfectly fine with the bare minimum. These guys have it all under control. I trust them. Oh also at first I thought lil kids should come along but afterwards I realized that unless you have a mature, athletic 7 year old (that’s the age limit) then you really shouldn’t put them through the trip. There was one kid on a raft this trip and poor guy looked scared to death. I felt awful for him. My kids are 12 and 13 and play sports and like I said, we kayak a lot so they know how to use paddles and maneuver a lil water vessel/raft. I highly recommend this tour guide company. Take the trip!!!! Such a beautiful lifetime memory for my family.

My group had a really wonderful experience with this rafting company. It was so easy to book the trip, and my requested adjustments to the reservation were managed efficiently (thanks, Beth)! The emails in advance of the trip answered all our questions, and the staff at the check-in point were great. Teagan had everything well organized, and plans were clearly communicated. We jumped on the bus for the 2 minute ride to the put-in spot, and geared up. Josh was the guide for my group, and he happily accommodated our request for a quick photo before the group shoved off. Unfortunately, I had a bum ankle and couldn't raft, but the awesome Henry (busdriver) very kindly offered to let me tag along on the bus to the take-out location, which was just below the vantage point of the professional photographer, at the "Jaws" rapid! I was able to walk upriver to the vantage point, and watch as the rafts came through the rapid. I could easily see that my group, and the other groups too, were all having a blast. It was a short walk back to where they took out, and my group was over the top excited about how much fun they'd had. A quick bus ride back to the base location, and it was a wrap. I believe this rafting company makes safety their number one concern, and also goes out of their way to reassure inexperienced rafters about the experience. The positive attitude and welcoming vibe was consistent among the various staff members with whom I interacted that day. I hope to take advantage of the discount they offered if I can fit a trip in before the end of the season. I highly recommend this company.

They have great guides who make non-swimmers feel very safe and comfortable. It was an exhilarating ride on the river. To get into the raft, we had to step in the water and fortunately we had our water shoes on. Four of us did the South fork American River and in the beginning it was a relaxing chill ride on the class 2 rapids. The guides let you jump into the river at the points where the water is calm. Towards the end of the rafting trip, we got to the gorge with class 3 rapids, lots of water and you'll definitely be drenched, so wear a wetsuit and you'll thank me later. That was the wild part of the trip. We also got a 50 percent discount for a rafting trip made in the same year. Would definitely visit again.

Went with a large family group and everyone had an excellent time. We ranged from 11 years old to a couple of seniors.

Our guide was Nate, who said he's been rafting since he was 8. Given all his experience, and how clear and thorough his instructions were, we felt very safe with him. He really did a great job of balancing fun and friendliness with being direct and assertive when we needed his leadership.

The other family members in our party went with Joe. They said he was equally amazing and they would recommend him as well. And the gentleman driving the bus, I believe his name was Will, was also very friendly and an excellent driver. He and Nate also took great photos and videos.

No one went for an accidental swim! And everyone left with a smile. Highly recommend the whole company, especially Nate and Joe. We all look forward to rafting with Tributary again, hopefully in the near future. Much gratitude to the whole team for keeping my family safe while allowing us all to have such a fun and exciting...
