We visited on a Monday afternoon in mid-June 2025. There is a small parking lot to the right around the corner if you use the trailhead marker on Google. The lot had 2 other cars in it when we arrived. There were maybe 10 spots total depending how the cars park. There are no lines or anything and it's compact dirt. The trail head sign is here but you follow a short walk through the woods here and back onto the main road and the trail starts on the other side of the road up a small set of stairs. The first fork you get to has 2 summit options, East and West. We decided to hike up tot he East Summit and the view was amazing on top of the hill. There are no trees up there so you can see really far out and to the water. There is also some kiosks up there with info as well as a trek bench you can sit and enjoy the view. Like I said there are no trees so there is no shade either. We sat for a min and took some pictures and continued on our way. Back to the intersection we wanted to hike to the Bog House. The trail can be a bit sandy as well so keep in mind what kind of shoes you have brought. We were all wearing closed toe keen water shoes. The Bog house was pretty cool. Many of the windows were broken. Probably immature kids/adults throwing rocks at them. Also as you'd expect there were many mosquitos here. So we stopped for a min for some pictures only and then back on the trail to the parking lot. We did notice that there must be folks using motor bikes on the trail which I don't think is allowed but we saw a number of really think tire tracks. I guess it could've been e-bikes. But I don't think bikes at all were allowed on the trail. These were all marked as "walking trails" and they are fairly narrow in many places. Overall a fun little hike. Not sure we'd come back and do this exact one again but it was worth the first visit. There are so many other trails on Cape Cod National Seashore, we'd want to try them all. Although we did not hike all the way out to the Overlook. So maybe we'd come back to try that one.

A great leisure hike to enjoy the cape cod seashore. The start of the trial is located across the street from the parking lot. We saw so many varieties of mushroom on our hike. It was so peaceful and relaxing. We didn't see anyone else on the trail. The hike was easy. Majority of the trail is flat with a few ascents and descents. The trail eventually leads to the beach. Definitely worth the time to explore the beauty of this area.

Four stars for the first part of the trail that has great views of the ocean. 0 stars for the overlook trail- unfortunately it is very overgrown and full of mosquitos. You can’t actually see anything at the actual overlook, the benches and view has overgrown so not worth the walk!
