Nice, quiet hike with diverse vegetation and good views of the dunes and ocean at one point. The trail could be maintained a bit better for tall grass in places but is easy to walk. The swampy area in the kettle is full of mosquitoes so wear repellant. More remote than other CCNS trails and that...

Beautiful quick swamp trail, mix of pine woods, sarsaparilla, steps, boardwalk, hemlock grove, beach plums and other wild shrubs, dunes, with views across the marsh to outer dunes and ocean. Very special walk to to take at sunset and/or moonrise. Pet and...

Beautiful trail, but they are not kidding when they advise to not take the trail at dawn/dusk. We went around 5:30pm and there were TONS of bugs. Still gorgeous.
