Let me begin with, I'm not from here. I'm from Florida and this to use was absolutely beautiful. We loved this park. I'm sure there are other parks but, this is the 1st lark we've taken our kids to since we got here. They have bathrooms that were nice and clean and smelled good. And there was also a mini hiking trail. We loved it. And so do our kids. They're 4 and 5. We're not use yo seeing the woods and trees and leaves like this or in this amount. And by amount I mean, spool many trees and leaves. We picked pine cones, which there were a lot of. We picked leaves and looked at the different kinds. They absolutely loved the playground. And the walk through the woods was spectacular. Mind you we got there kind of late so, it was a bit dark. We used our phones to light the way, which was fun. It was like an adventure. The walked way we went on led to a neighborhood road on the other side. I don't know if there are any other walk ways, it was getting dark and very chilly for the boys so, we left. But, I will definitely be returning to explore more and give more details about this place. I recommend this place for families and even couples just to...

A small park access across the street from Henrico Doctors Hospital and sandwiched between the surrounding neighborhoods. There's a playground, picking shelters, and barbecues. The restrooms and drinking fountains may be shut off during the winter. The walking trails go through wooded areas and traverse a creek in several places, but you will have to make several loops if you want to get a good walk in. Most of the walking is on a flat surface and the shorter loop is paved. The nearness of major highways means there is a constant low background din of noise. It is a nice burst of nature in suburbia, but don't expect to meditate in...

The park itself is great! I love the newly renovated trails. However, whoever put the air fresheners in the bathroom needs to not do that again! If anybody has any sort of allergy issues, it will trigger you immediately. Even when wearing a mask in the bathroom, it caused me to have a headache and itchy eyes/ face / throat, etc, and I needed to take extra allergy medicine just to take the edge off. I will not be going in these bathrooms again until that is fixed since it is not user friendly for all visitors to the park at this time. It is not worth ruining my day over having to use the bathroom here because of the...

Henrico’s Newest Playground: Cheswick Park 📍West End, VA Henrico’s oldest park just *REOPENED* with lots of new upgrades! While the swings haven’t been added just yet, the two playgrounds & exercise equipment are ready for guests now. 🛝 The main play area has the same color-scheme as the old one with a reconfigured climbing area - stepping stones, ladders & monkey bars. It has a playground for little kids & a more challenging one for big kids. It has 5 slides of varying heights… and it still has the *FASTEST* slide in Henrico! More Upgrades: 1️⃣ new bathrooms including a family bathroom & picnic shelters *a great spot for parties! 2️⃣ new water fountain & water bottle filling station 3️⃣ new paved, wide trails around the park *perfect for strollers, balance bikes & scooters 4️⃣ new workout equipment 5️⃣ new bridges & boardwalks over the creeks 👀 Looking for more playgrounds? Comment *PLAYGROUND* & I’ll send you my guide to 40+ playgrounds around RVA! •••••• Things to Know 💥This park’s hidden entrance is across from Henrico Doctors Hospital. 💥 The parking lot is in front of the playgrounds & bathroom. 💥 While the playground always has full sun, the rest of the park has fantastic tree coverage in spring/summer. 💥 There’s a gravel travel past the boardwalk behind the playground. It laps around the gravel trail near Alvarado Road (there’s a pedestrian entrance). 💥Most of the trails are paved, but some have gravel. There’s a loop around the playground - great for strollers, bikes & scooters. 💥There are a couple of streams running through the park. 💥It’s less than 5m from Tuckahoe Library. 💥It’s less than 5m from Regency - drive thru Starbucks! Chick-fil-A on Parham is currently being renovated. •••••• 🔖 *TAG* a friend who needs to visit Cheswick Park! •••••• #thewestendmom #richmondva #explorerva #explorehenrico #henricova #cheswickpark #thewestend #henricorecsandpark #rvaplaygrounds #rvatok #rvamoms #rvakids #t#thingstodoinrvaf#familytraveltipsc#chesterfieldvas#shortpumpvar#richmondlivingr#rvaadventuresm#midlothianvag#goochlandvav#visitrvar#rvalocalf#familyfriendlyrvak#kidswhohikee#explorevav#vaisforloversrvaparenting

Recently updated with new playground including baby bucket swings, regular swings, and a tire swing. Has a pavillion you can rent with 4-5 picnic tables. New restroom facilities but they were closed when I came (on a Sunday). Paved parking lot now, and paved walking trails with all new bridges. Great for a short walk and then playground time after. I also see a ton of people walking their dogs or riding their bikes on the trails.
