Pleasantdale Park — Attraction in Tucker

Plesantdale Park really doesn't exist anymore. Over two years ago, Dekalb County Parks and Recreation sold much of the property to DekaLb County Schools to build a new Pleasantdale Elementary School (it will open for the 2020 -21 year). Before that, Dekalb P&R granted a youth soccer organization exclusive rights to have two fields for practices and matches. The only area left of the park for public use is a very small playground, a former t-ball field, and a small picnic pavilion. The park is not the best to be honest, but it'll get the job done. There's a lot of ants and dog poop in the grass areas or on the grounds. There's a lot of biting spiders and wasp on the bleachers/benches. It's not my preferred location but for the area, I understand the condition because I'm familiar. Pleasantdale Park is one of the home soccer fields for Rush Union Dekalb. The park has an upper and lower set of natural grass fields, public restrooms, a small playground for toddlers and shares a parking lot with a school. The lower field has concrete bleachers on one side for viewing. The fields drain well after rain and are kept in good shape by DeKalb County Parks & Rec.
