Graves Park — Attraction in Tucker

It is a nice place to spend some time in your own, with your friends, your kids or your furry friend. The park has an aprox. 1 mile asphalted loop trail that goes around all the areas. It has 3 fenced dog parks. One big with grass and 2 medium size (one for small and one for big dogs) with some activity points for your 4 legged friends. All have a water fountain, but some of them don’t work. For humans, they have a sand volleyball court, two tennis courts and a lot of open fields to play other sports or just run around. They also have a nice and big gazebo and a barbecue are (the grills are a little bit rusty and with big holes). For the kiddos, they have a decent size playground with several activity areas where they will have a blast!! My children love this park for the low swings. However a member of the community felt it necessary to rip a hole in one of the nicest slides that they had. It is just so despairing to see members of our community destroying the very playground that their children will be playing at. I drive too many parks in Gwinnett county but I feel for the people whose choice is to walk only to this park. The rest of the playground equipment is nice intact maybe a little rusty but safe. A nice extensive walking path not too short not too long about 1.4 MI and a great barbecuing center for the family. I would keep our visits to this park during the day around other people for the simple fact that the destruction to the slide makes me fear for the safety of the people...

I really like this park because not only is it near my house, but they have ample parking and a really nice dog park. You have to walk a bit to get to the dog enclosures, but it's not that bad.

You need to bring your own plastic bags for dog doo. The park does not provide them. I noticed all the dog walkers had bags. Nice!

There is a large dog enclosure and a small dog enclosure. Not to worry, the fence between the two is quite safe and sturdy. Both enclosures offer a lot of space for running and exploring. So far, folks at the park have been quite friendly.

So, why only four stars? The litter. I can't believe the amount of plastic bottles, beer cans, Red Bull cans, bottle caps and more all over the place. There are plenty of garbage cans. Don't be...
