This park has its ups and downs. On the positive side of the park, the lake, fishing, boating, dog park, ducks, and river walkway connected to the park. They water some of the grass at this park (I am disappointed in the city of Tucson for their poor job of maintaining your parks in Tucson, Arizona). Do you use wastewater solutions to water the grass? If they water the grass, they choose discriminatory ways to pick. what perks to water the grass and not too bright of the grass, it's funny how all the S.w. parks that need water dose not get a drop. But all the parks on the east side of town don't miss a drop of water! Why is this? And the disgruntled employees that hire to care for the parks are always bitter negative and out to beat you up it looks like and I've been attacked by a couple of them for the color of my skin and I took video of tbe city employee hunting game in the park. He did not like it and wanted to tell me face to face how much he did nit like it. Lucky I am a proud American to this crazy alien in my faceWith his poor English, yes, the City of Tucson, Arizona, hires illegal immigrants to work for them! If that's not un-American, I don't know what is!
Negatives to the park: Rude employees who always have a better-than-you attitude and are unwilling to help you with anything while on break.. The way they do not care about cleaning up the parks. If you can see, all of our parks are trashed. Why are all the invading immigrants and their horrible ethics and mannerisms throwing parties that they don’t like to clean up after themselves? Of course, the City of Tucson, Arizona, charges them the least amount of money to convince these people to trash and litter extensively throughout the whole park as much as they can, not to mention driving on the grass (I mean dirt). They always go four-wheeling in our parks, and it’s okay that they trash our parks. Is it okay that they don’t care? No, it’s not. Why not charge these people more money and a $400 Retainer: Levy a fee on people for cleaning up after themselves when they are done using the reminders or when their parties are over. You would see a cleaner park. The city also needs to stop killing the parks’ trees and hedges because they think they're going to stop the straight people and the gay people from having private moments at the park. The city needs to put back the sex shops that are in big cities to keep the people from going to parks like they are doing in Tucson. They have done so many scientific studies on sexuality in cities and how to keep sex addicts from going public. It's not even funny. The City of Tucson needs to do its homework and stop turning Tucson into a worst ghetto then it is. Tucson was going to be something amazing, but now, sadly, it's just like, are Border City's Ghetto! Tucson, Arizona, is ghetto and disgusting! Thanks to all the Democrat mayors we've had, especially the current one. This park is one of the best parks. Beware of the city workers. I wish I was joking about the man hunting with his City of Tucson employees t-shirt on. people, we need to care about the...
Read moreWhat happened to this place? I have fond memories of this lake from childhood. I took my 4 year old here today and there were homeless people everywhere, as well as sketchy people with off-leash dogs running amok, and the outdoor restrooms were beyond unacceptable. Two different restroom areas had urine and toilet paper running out through the base of the structures and saturating the ground outside the buildings! Even my son asked why the dirt was all wet and I told him it’s pee. He asked what the white stuff was in the dirt and I told him it was toilet paper. What a sanitation hazard! The smell was unbelievable. Inside, the floor was covered with urine and the urinals were clogged and full of congealing pee. I took my son, told him he had to hold it, and left. We felt very unsafe at this park. I didn’t see any sign of security anywhere. It also felt very spread out and remote. It’s a large place. Even when we first parked and I saw a homeless man sitting on a table near our car I felt uneasy. This place is unsafe. Do...
Read moreVery beautiful with lots of amenities including handicapped parking, ramadas, bathrooms, and a well-stocked dog park. There's lots to do and see, like model plane and boats and paddle boating across the lake and fishing. I would remember sunblock though as even though you're in the shade, you can still get sunburn. Very family-friendly/oriented and makes for a nice walk with nature. I got to see baby ducklings along with their mama and a lot of geese, but I didn't catch any fish though. However, if you do plan on going remember to wear thick shoes because I stepped on too many branches with thick thorns that went through my shoe and foot. I couldn't walk very well for two days after that. It just seemed like a big hazard to everyone in my family and especially my dog with no protection for his feet, laying under a very shady tree that also dropped branches with long thorns. If you plan on going here, keep that in mind, but it's a very nice place that's fun for the...
