I started coming to lovely nails in 2019. the first person I got was Alex. at the time he nailed my service & we clicked! I kept going. well a year later I booked an apt & all of a sudden he said he wasn't going to service me because he doesn't do pedicures... which was odd but ok. he then started saying he only took Apts when I clearly was. I was pretty hurt but I kept going cus Linda & Tony do a good job. well today I came in as a walk in and got Alex for the first time since our last conversation. (early 2020) he did my full set. it came out ok. a lady walked in right when he was about to finish my service,, saying she had an apt with ALEX for a pedi. guess what.? same thing that happened to me, happened to her. he started arguing how he never did her toes & it must of been someone else. the customer was very uncomfortable & just put her head down well someone else serviced her. after that I asked Alex do you not like doing pedicures? he said oh no, I do nervously laughing I told him well I'm only asking because the same thing happened to me a while back & you refused to do myy pedicure. (has no idea who I am since I gained weight from pregnancy) he just started laughing and said that lady was a walk in, he does pedicures but she didn't have an apt.
YIKES. Alex is really good at his work but he can't keep customers I've just witnessed this happen TWICE. and of course no one said anything. but kept vouching they serviced her & not him. I know for a fact he doesn't like doing pedicures & only does them when they're really busy (which is how I met alex) and I'm sure...
Read moreWent in for a pedicure and I was absolutely disgusted. I am a licensed nail tech in the state of Arizona and I was in shock when I saw the uncleanliness of this salon! From a random person stand point no one would know, but the purple pumice stones are not reusable and should be thrown away. I watched all salon techs use the same stone from one client to the next. Every pedi station had barbicide jars (disinfectant which has to be cleaned and soaked for 10 minutes) were empty. I watched Tony pull out a dirty block file and nail file (Emory board) and use them on my toes, then stick it back into his basket. They used nail nippers and rail rasps, shook/wiped them off and stuck them back into the clean containers. I'm sorry but that is has fungus is passed! Absolutely not OKAY! I would never ever go here again.
Lastly my own person disgusting moment is when Tony used his own finger nail to clean off the polish under my toenails and used his nail to hold down underneath my toenail which the hyponychium is and it hurt. Unprofessional at it's finest.
I'll stick to my at home services đ atleast i know...
Read moreI went in for a pedicure on Thursday, October 23, and unfortunately, this was the most painful pedicure Iâve ever had. The woman who did my service (I believe she may be the ownerâs wife â short with large glasses) was not gentle AT ALL. While cleaning my cuticles, she accidentally cut into my actual skin rather than just the dead skin, leaving several painful cuts on my toes. When she applied alcohol, it burned badly.
The cuts were still sore for days afterward, and it was really disappointing â especially since I had engagement photos the next day and the marks were visible in my sandals. My mom had a very similar experience with the same woman in the past, so this doesnât seem to be an isolated incident.
While the customer service overall was decent, Iâll be avoiding this technician in the future and would caution others to request a different nail tech if they visit.
(Attached are photos of the cuts left...
