We had a great time here! We arrived around 2:30pm and had to park down at the picnic/playground area because the parking lot near the museum/ visitor center was full. There is a little trail the connects the two parking lots, and it added less than half a mile to the total trip. It was slightly uphill, but not bad at all.

The museum and store has restrooms and a film about the park. It also has a couple rooms with exhibits about the history of the people who built the "fort."

The main trail loop was very well maintained. I think we and several other visitors went the wrong direction on the trail based on the way the informational placards were facing, but that didn't cause too many issues.

The waterfalls were all flowing heavily and were gorgeous! There are some steep drop offs, so keep that in mind if you have little ones.

We didn't do any of the extra trails, and my Apple Watch says I walked almost exactly 2 miles, including the trek back to our car at the picnic area. It was mostly flat trails with some muddy patches that were easily avoided.

We camped one night at the campground. It being the end of January, most of the sites were unoccupied. We were the only tent campers I saw. The bathrooms were very well maintained. The rangers were very friendly and knowledgeable. They helped us get the firewood to our campsite, which I thought was really cool of them.

Not sure I would visit again soon just because I feel like I've seen everything at the park, but it is definitely a lovely little day trip or even a good get away for a...

I enjoy doing trail πŸ‘£ walks πŸšΆβ€β™‚οΈ and seeing what nature has to offer.

There is enough parking spots during Spring. Not sure during Summer since it might get packed for the waterfall view.

There is a nice little museum, where you can learn more of the Old Stone Fort. Gift shop provides some crafts and souvenirs to take home from.

What is unique and sets this apart from other trails, is that there is an mobile πŸ“± application you can download to discover other trails, research and find how to navigate through the trails πŸ‘£ πŸ˜€ which is pretty cool.

There is restrooms 🚻 prior to entering the trail. Nice views. The weather during our visit, did not help. But, we still enjoyed the best out of the trail.

The only subjects I did not like is that when it comes to safety getting a closer view towards the waterfall is very concerning for the little children or pets. Maybe even adults if you do not take precaution of your steps.

Another thing is there are other waterfalls after the main one but after going down more the trails. It is nothing but just forest like locations.

Finally, watch where you step down the trail. If you do not have proper shoes then you would get some of the fuzzy galls stuck to your shoes.

I did not get a chance to go do other trails just this main one they have here. I do not know how camping here is but I saw camper RV's around.

Enjoy the time here and take lots of pictures πŸ“Έ...

This park was just okay. I thought we were looking at the ruins when we were at the museum but I think they were somewhere else. I didn’t really find the map to be very useful in telling me that, but maybe I just didn’t look close enough? We had stopped in on our way to another park and I accidentally closed out of my gps app. I didn’t have any data, so I just needed WiFi to type in the address and from there I would be fine. I see that the museum has WiFi but is password protected so I go in and ask the guy if I would be allowed to use it for a second and just what I needed it for. He stands there and tells me β€œwe don’t have it.” I say β€œum it’s literally right here. It literally says Old Stone Fort.” That’s all he will say to me is we don’t have it even when I show him that yes you do. I understand if guests can’t use it but don’t lie to me. I wouldn’t have been mad at all if he said sorry we can’t give that to guests or I don’t even know the password. It’s not like I wanted to get on there and update my social media. I just wanted to not get lost with two kids in tow. Overall, the park was very pretty and I wish we had had more time to explore…but as someone who has worked in customer service, I can’t imagine just standing there and not trying to offer directions or some type of help…but...
