This was my first salon experience in years, I decided to not do it myself for once and treat myself and have someone else cut and color it for me. The color is pretty. But absolutely not what I asked for. I asked for a light natural red and also gave several pictures for reference. My hair is maroon. Very maroon. I’m not happy with it and am sickened thinking how much I spent in getting it done when I’m perfectly capable of doing it myself. It’s a pretty color but definitely not what I want or what I asked for. I am very uncomfortable with how dark and obviously dyed it is. And how much it isn’t what I wanted. I would have said something. That honestly feared being charged for her to correct it. I am not happy
Edit: After waiting to see if they would respond to this review, and realized they weren’t going to, i called up to the salon to ask to talk with one of the owners. It took 3 attempts to be able to reach one. I told her about my experience and that I would like at least a partial refund. I did not want them to try to fix my hair, as that would require lightening it and I’ve finally recently gotten my hair curly and healthy again. The owner said she would have to check into something and would call me back in a couple of minutes... we’ll i heard from her hours later only for her to say she needed to speak with her sister (they co own) and would call me right back. I was intending on telling her I would come in so she can see the 5 reference photos for color and what I turned out with. But. Never heard back. I don’t doubt that there are good stylists at this salon. But the customer service? Extremely poor. I’m a manager in customer service and I absolutely would never just not follow back up with a customer on something. Especially if they were unhappy. Would leave zero stars if I could. Absolute waste of just about...
Read moreAn inviting , on-trend salon that shines bright like a diamond amidst the gritty South Harvard stretch it is located. iidentity is a two-story oasis undeniably designed to provide a Rodeo Drive experience balanced with Tulsan sensibility; however, the result is 918 lost in the 818 with no chance of making it over Laurel Canyon into the 310. There is no explanation or justification for the cheap patio furniture cluttering the reception area that despite blending with the overall chic aesthetic, is guaranteed to confuse or disgust a well-heeled Balenciaga crowd. And they haven't even made it into a stylist's chair yet.
This visit was for a quick brow wax -- a walk-in service that I was forced to call-in in advance to confirm availability because their clunky online reservation system insisted that the salon was booked solid for 5 days. Anybody who has spent more than a day in Tulsa knows better.
My arrival was non-plussed due to a vacant reception desk -- it felt eerily similar to walking into a storefront in Guthrie.
For waxing services, they pull the first assistant they see without a broom in their hands -- or in my case, pull the broom from their hands, shove the assistant in my direction, and order them to "take care" of my brows.
Abel -- whose talent is being suppressed as an assistant to the other stylists-- is talented, skilled, and personable. His shaping, waxing, and tweezing is on-point and among the best I've entrusted with my brows.
Now, if only Abel could do something about the lawn...
Read moreHannah was amazing! I have been cutting my own hair for a long time. Recently something happened and I desperately needed a rescue trim. I was soo nervous about going to a salon after such a long time. Getting an appointment was super easy and they were really flexible to match my schedule. I absolutely adore the little lobby/waiting room. It was a nice place to chill before my appt. After Hannah took my back and we found a chair, she asked me what I was looking for. I showed her a few pictures and discussed it with her and then we went to wash up. Hannah was so friendly and kind to me the whole time. She understood my needs and executed the haircut swiftly and gracefully. I came out feeling like a million bucks (even though I spent about half of that for the haircut). I will say, service is a little pricey. But you get what you pay for and I was more than happy to blow all my $ to fix up my hair. Again, amazing work and service. I will ONLY be coming to this salon from now on. Its incredible how much a haircut can make you feel about...
