Turner lake is an amazing experience for everyone alone or with your family. 10 dollars for parking or you can find parking in the residential area right next to on the street for free! The lake is big but not overly huge. There is no lifeguard, so be sure to wear a life jacket or Lookout for those who your with. Remember drowning is silent and can happen in a moment. There's plenty of areas to set up your group or your little spot. A small beach like area that definitely could use some more sand as the fabric on the bottom is visable but still nice enough. There's a peir and a boat dock for people to use. There's also a play structure and giant sand box although I have only been there when its super hot and the sand is way too hot to walk in let alone play and same with the play structure but I'm sire its great sub 75! There's also a place to rent kayaks for 10 an hour and paddleboards for 20 an hour. You sign a quick waiver, pay and your off. You will need a licence or ID number for this form. *OREGON IS IMPLEMENTING JANUARY 2026 A NEW LAW REQUIRES PERMITS TO USE KYAKS AND PADDLEBOARDS OR YOU WILL GET A TICKET SO BE AWARE FUTURE READERS.* I've never had a bad experience here with cleanliness or staff and its always a great time. Don't forget your sunscreen though!

Nice lake to float on and not too crowded, parking is $10 and I’ve never found it hard to find a spot

It's getting pretty busy but for good reason. Turner has done a great job transforming this old Gravel Pit into a beautiful public space for swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding or just floating around. There is a playground, a covered area, a nice grassy area, a few docks and they even trucked in a bunch of sand. If you can get off the busy public area and into the water it can be a very relaxing and pleasant place to go. Note: During the summer they do man the booth and charge $10 per car (2023). They do not allow dropoffs and pickups. And they do ticket people who do not have a pass.

The young girls who work here need to be taught to communicate better, or they should not be dealing with the public. They were very very rude. My wife is going through radiation and has literally never been there and didn’t know about the rules of “no dropped no pick-up.” She could not get out of the car if she wanted to and our kids phones were dead. What is someone supposed to do? The girl ran toward the car (didn’t know that until seeing a red shirt in the rear view mirror…) to tell us that we can’t come here anymore and that my kids “didn’t pay…” excuse me?? They literally paid with a GROUP that came in. What?? How about give a receipt then, and stamp each person’s hand when coming in?? Seriously? That is one hundred percent ridiculous. Where are the adults?? Funny this is, my boys came through a bit earlier and the same girls were flirting with them and said to go in for free. How about some...

I'm in LOVE with this place! PROs- it's a lake basically in town (quarry that was flooded), no motor boats allowed, has a food truck, offers rentals; paddle boards and such, sandy areas for laying out in the sun, a playground for when littles wanna dry off. CONs- no motor boats allowed, it's 10$ to park, no re-entry or drop offs, rentals are 20$/hr (we just bought a board of our own, same as 5 hrs renting) that's all I got, it's a great place to spend the day and it's close to home so not a huge expense! Must go for sure! Please make sure to have life vests for littles as there is an abrupt drop off and a diver said he went 90ft and had to come back cause it just...
