I'm an elopement/wedding photographer and Hidden Valley Picnic Area is one of my favorite spots in Joshua Tree for ceremonies and photos. The permit to get married here is only $120 and the scenery is the perfect backdrop! There's lots of parking available (though I still recommend week days over weekends) and space to walk around and get a bit away from other visitors.
