Very nice grassy park with mature trees and lots of picnic tables there is a large covered picnic area for parties .some of the tables have bbq pits.Or there is a snack bar. The park also features a playground situated away from the water , a kiddie pool with a sandy beach and a lifeguard on duty on specified times, and a deep swimming area surrounded by docks and a dock in the middle with a diving board and a lifeguard as well, the water is cleared of aquatic plants and debris. Just outside the swimming area there are cliffs to jump off of at your own risk , and hidden lakes with very high jumping cliffs those are assessable by hiking back these trails are not handicap assessable but the park does feature a trail that is flat terrain that goes partially around the lake. Small none motorized boats are permitted and there is a kayak rental on site. The lake is home to bluegill trout and bass and is regularly stocked. The park also has restrooms with flushing toilets and paved access to the park. No dogs are allowed and mosquitos come out in the evening .There is a $5 fee for cars or $20 for busses this also includes access to Shoshone falls that is connected to the lake this park offers grass mature trees picnic areas and a souvenir stand and lookouts to see the falls. Both these parks get very crowded so plan...

I'm originally from Heyburn, ID and growing up my family frequented Dierkes Lake Park. Some of my most fondest memories involve this place. We would always barbecue and swim and we would be there for hours, literally till we physically couldn't swim anymore. After 22 years I finally went back when I went to visit my family back in August of 2020. We took a family trip and I got to create new memories with my neice and nephew. We looked for rocks, made a sand castle, and swam for what felt like hours. I can remember my cousins and brother would jump off the hidden cliffs and the ones that are just right there by the diving boards. I know times have changed now so I don't even know if the hidden cliffs are still allowed to access. Either way this place has always been the spot to bring your kids and family. I highly recommend if you haven't been this summer or you're planning a trip to Twin Falls, check out Dierkes Lake and take a swim or if your someone who lives on the edge check out the cliffs. I promise you will have a great time and maybe this might be a spot where you and your family can create...

Wheel of Dierks Lake! The shallow area was wonderful for my 1 year old. He could sit and play with sand in the water. Because it's so shallow, the water was warmer than the other areas. I really like the cement barrier, it worked very well at keeping kids in. there were plenty of options for different skill levels as well. It was fun to see a diving board there in the deeper section. There is also an area to do some cliff jumping. Kids probably 10 and up were over there jumping. the water itself is beautiful, it's a very pretty blue. I was surprised, as a lot of Idaho Water is just kind of dingy and brown. there's tons of shade! You can sit up under some trees and watch your kids play if they're a little older. They're also lifeguards on duty. And who can get the price. $3 per car to get in. Swimming for your whole family, only $3! That is awesome! There's also a playground, so when your kids are kind of tired of playing in the water, they can go and play on the playground toys. They're also bathrooms...

We walked the lake trail, it was my first time even though I've been to Dierkes lake several hundred times when I was younger. I've been back to the hidden lakes as well, just never past them. My suggestion to people wanting to go on the trail, start from the parking lot, it's mostly flat and down hill, some stairs with the majority of the stairs in the middle of the trail as you descend into the canyon. If you start from the park and grassy area, it's uphill 3/4 of the way plus the stairs. Wear good shoes and bring water and use sunscreen. The trail goes all the way around the lake and has other trails to explore. It's a decent hike, but you do have to pay to get down to Dierkes and the Shoshone Falls and the fee currently is $5 a vehicle. There is plenty of parking at Dierkes lake, and you can swim, kayak or fish in certain areas as well.

The best kept secret in Twin Falls! We stumbled across this awesome recreation area thanks to a suggestion from a local. You can swim, paddle board and there is even a playground to pass the time in the day. There is a small dock to launch your kayak or small paddle board. You can spend hours on the lake as it is rather large to explore. There is also rather scenic a hiking trail that spans the coast of the lake. I also notice a natural diving platform popular with locals. During our visit I noticed a security guard walking the grounds but no lifeguard was present. Restrooms were present and rather clean. Parking is conveniently located close to the grounds. This park is a short drive from Twin Falls center. This definitely is a popular place in the summer. Expect many people on the weekend. I suggest arriving early.
