Read moreI'm originally from Heyburn, ID and growing up my family frequented Dierkes Lake Park. Some of my most fondest memories involve this place. We would always barbecue and swim and we would be there for hours, literally till we physically couldn't swim anymore. After 22 years I finally went back when I went to visit my family back in August of 2020. We took a family trip and I got to create new memories with my neice and nephew. We looked for rocks, made a sand castle, and swam for what felt like hours. I can remember my cousins and brother would jump off the hidden cliffs and the ones that are just right there by the diving boards. I know times have changed now so I don't even know if the hidden cliffs are still allowed to access. Either way this place has always been the spot to bring your kids and family. I highly recommend if you haven't been this summer or you're planning a trip to Twin Falls, check out Dierkes Lake and take a swim or if your someone who lives on the edge check out the cliffs. I promise you will have a great time and maybe this might be a spot where you and your family can create...
Read moreWheel of Dierks Lake! The shallow area was wonderful for my 1 year old. He could sit and play with sand in the water. Because it's so shallow, the water was warmer than the other areas. I really like the cement barrier, it worked very well at keeping kids in. there were plenty of options for different skill levels as well. It was fun to see a diving board there in the deeper section. There is also an area to do some cliff jumping. Kids probably 10 and up were over there jumping. the water itself is beautiful, it's a very pretty blue. I was surprised, as a lot of Idaho Water is just kind of dingy and brown. there's tons of shade! You can sit up under some trees and watch your kids play if they're a little older. They're also lifeguards on duty. And who can get the price. $3 per car to get in. Swimming for your whole family, only $3! That is awesome! There's also a playground, so when your kids are kind of tired of playing in the water, they can go and play on the playground toys. They're also bathrooms...
