Shoshone is the heart of Twin Falls, and Dierkes is a must visit for anyone living here. It's a clean, quiet little swimming spot and recreation area. I've swam in many bodies of water in my travels and this lake is one of my favorites. Can be packed in the summer and on weekends/holidays, so try to visit on an off day if you can.
Edit 07/01/23: One of the (female) park staff was incredibly hostile to three children (boys.) From what I could tell the boys were not being rambunctious or anything worth screaming about. She rifled through their things on the beach and threatened to call the police because they "talked back." It was overall an embarrassment to herself and everyone watching. Mind you these were children maybe 12 years old. She drove away on the golf cart after yelling and didn't return. The boys left on their own shortly after.
