Visited here in fall 2022 , and my partner and I still dream about this place. It was home to most deeply succulent, sweet, juicy, plump fruits! They call themselves “valley’s finest fruits” but I think it should really be Earth’s finest fruits. Here in the Midwest, we have searched every local farmer’s market within probably 100 miles searching from plums, peaches, apples, apricots, watermelons of comparable quality, and I am increasingly convinced Yakima’s Fruit City is unparalleled

First time visiting Yakima and was recommended to visit here for local produce. Plenty of options and the produce looks amazing and is super fresh. Was greeted with a smile and friendly conversation. Definitely a place to visit when you are in the area. LOVED the green apples that are pink inside. So delicious!

What a great place to buy fruits and veggies. Owners were friendly, food are fresh and low priced, blows chain groceries store out of the water. I would make it a habit to stop by when passing through from Seattle to Eastern Washington for sure. Thanks guys.

My daughter and I went there over the last weekend. First i had been there in a very time. I used to go there all the time with my grandmother at least once a week. But the last time I was in there it knda looked sad. but I was very impressed with The fruit stand. I went in looking for canning fruit and vegetables and I got the best help from the people down there very friendly and they even helped you out to the car with it that was great thanks guys. And all the tomatoes and peaches and cucumbers that I bought I found one mushy cucumber that I’ve been pickling now that the rest of this fruit has been gorgeous for canning fruit. Back in the day we never got fruit and vegetables that is this pretty for canning. I really recommend people going down there for the fruit and vegetables I’ll be back. They also were roasting garlic that smelled heavenly! Hoping for...

We stopped by on 7/5/2025 to pick up some local fruits and produce. This place is much smaller compared to the Imperial Garden on the reservation, where we had a great experience two years ago.

What we liked: We bought two packages each of Bing and Rainier cherries—super fresh and delicious. We also picked up some donut peaches, which were decent.

What disappointed us: We bought three mini yellow watermelons—one was completely rotten, and the other two were not very fresh. This was a sharp contrast to our previous experience at Imperial Garden, where the watermelons were incredibly fresh—so ripe they practically split open when touched with a knife. We also bought a bunch of small avocados that looked fine on the outside, but sadly, every single one was...

I usually visit when they first open in spring. They sell trophy worthy asparagus. Amazing quality. All produce available is fresh and priced great for the quality offered. The owner and staff are great people. Personable, knowledgeable, approachable. This year I decided to purchase my Christmas tree there as the prices were same as all lots. The selection was much larger than you can see just driving past. They told me the date mine was cut. The tree was such good quality I left it up two weeks after new year's and it was still taking water and was growing new...
