St Andrews was okay. The roads were awful so bike riding was challenging. Also, essentially the campground is one giant loop so it had a higher volume of vehicles which made me more apprehensive of letting the littles roam free on their bikes. The campsite weren’t very private or shady.
The bathhouse was nice and clean. The beaches are well kept with nice facilities. It had been raining so the beach water looked like pickle juice ( which I don’t have pics of ) as it mixed with water from the lagoon. Usually the water is gorgeous in Panama. Read moreLove this park! But.....they need to post at entrance to form 2 lines ,so those who have a yearly pass can get to the right side entry with their card. Also...for those who love to fish at the main pier oceanside....there needs to be a sign on pier for those swimming near pier to stay clear of fishing lines....people are too close which detracts from fishing. One last comment....the roads are well traveled and repaving is evident....a lot of people like to ride these roadways with bikes....a bit dangerous these days. With those being said....it is one of our favorite...
Read moreI highly recommend going here to spend part of your day. It's a minimal fee to get in, which allows you access for the whole day (until the park closes). Waking along the water is quite relaxing and you get to see a lot of jellyfish, washed up on shore. Definitely wear sunscreen though, I got sunburned and I was out there for almost 2 hours. Unfortunately, the boat that takes you to Shell Island hadn't reopen yet, so I wasn't able to see that. Otherwise, if it's open, go, you can go on a dolphin tour (dolphins appearing...
