Went with a friend for a bike ride. I had been here years ago for biking, but hadn’t been back since. Don’t know why, since it’s only a 30 minute car ride for me. Started late in the day, but so beautiful I know I’ll be back! Parked in the lot across the street from the entrance to the lot where the Park Office is located. The lot is called the Orange Trail lot because that’s where you can access that trail, but it’s also where you can access the Perkiomen Trail. Either lot is fine, but if you want to use the restrooms then park at the lot where the Park Office is located, which is across the street from the Orange Trail parking lot. Picked up park pamphlets and spoke with a very nice park employee at the office to get better information. Determined that the unpaved, natural surface trails which are color coded (blue trail, orange trail etc.) are better for walking. The Perkiomen Trail is best for biking. Came to bike so we took that trail. The entrance to that trail is down Perkiomen Road a few hundred feet from the Orange trail parking lot. Once on the trail, everything is very well marked. You are riding for short distances quite a bit, especially in the beginning, on main roads. Beautiful trail, met other cyclists, walkers with and without dogs and some horseback riders so watch out for piles of horse poop on the trail! Nice wide trails for biking, gorgeous views especially in the fall with leaves...

We had a very nice outing at Green Lane Park. We hiked on the Orange Trail (East Loop) since we didn't know exactly what we could expect (in terms of difficulty and condition). It's an easy to medium difficulty route. It' wasn't too bad except there were some downed trees that blocked across the path in several points, and it was muddy and slippery after the overnight rain. I'd recommend a good pair of hiking shoes because of the exposed tree roots and rocks. There also are some hilly sections with rocks and roots. No strollers here. It's mainly tree covered for nice shades. The main parking lot where the Park Office is located offers gender-free public bathrooms, decent playground, shady picnic area with grills, and access to the lake for shore fishing. There also are a rustic bungalow (available to rent) and a very nice pavilion nearby. It looked like at least one time there was a snack bar, but it wasn't open when we visited. If you walk over the dam of the lake, you can reach another large green area with a pavilion and a large band stand where concerts are held with its own large parking lot. You can easily spend a whole day here hiking, picnicking, fishing, cycling (Perkiomen Trail runs thru this park), etc. Enjoy! Oh, if your GPS takes you to Snyder Road, ignore it since the bridge...

Green Lane Park is absolutely one of my favorite places to go! Whether you're looking for a peaceful hike, a scenic walk with your dog, or a relaxing day outdoors with family and friends, this park has it all. The trails are well-maintained and perfect for hiking or dog walking, with beautiful views all around.

There are plenty of picnic tables and benches scattered throughout the park, making it easy to find a spot to relax. I love that they have pavilions and grills available too—perfect for a weekend cookout. Restrooms are conveniently located and clean, which is a huge plus.

Green Lane Park is always my first choice when I want to enjoy nature and unwind. Highly recommend visiting if you're...

We go here often with our dog. We park on the other side where the tennis courts are and walk across the bridge to sit on a bench the by the water. Yesterday, being a weekday, there were not a lot of people there. We saw a few fishermen and a few folks like ourselves just relaxing on a beautiful afternoon. We have been there when its very crowded, especially weekends as they have a nice campground area. There are often many people kayaking on the lake.
