I've been living near the park for over 5 years now and for 2 years I didn't even know this park existed... then for another year I thought it was very small... it's surrounded by stores and big streets and businesses... I only went there to play tennis (yes, they have 2 tennis courts!), but then I started actually walking there... and each time I got there I kept discovering new trails... The park is amazing, very quiet, you hardly ever see other people, especially deeper in the trails, so if you're in a meditative state and look for nice place to walk or just sit down and relax in silence... you can't miss it! Also knowing that Lenni-Lenape tribe lived there makes it even...
Β Β Β Read moreWe have been having our annual family picnicl at Tamenend Park for over 20 years. My parents are 87 and 84 and started this tradition. We never miss it. We have lots of fun with our family playing games, exploring the park, just being outside relaxing, leaving everything else behind. We enjoy our parents, cousins, our children, our grandchildren, and our pets. We like the pavillions, the open grounds, and access to restrooms. NOnly comment is that the restrooms should be cleaned regularly, supplied with toilet paper, and better lighting and faster...
Β Β Β Read moreWent to the fall fest on Sat pm. We did pumpkin patch. Kids painted pumpkins. Did sand art bottles next. They had lots of fun.. Next was the hayride in a big open wagon.. It was a bit of a wait, but it was worth it. We went thru the woods, & saw a few deers too.. Next we saw the Insectarium man with an animal display. Very informative.. liked it a lot. Lastly, the kids all went in the playground. It was very nice & well kept. The whole day was free too.. totally good day, we had a lot of fun... There was a free outdoor movie too but we had...
