I usually love Strathmere (whale beach) so much because free beach, free parking. BUT, the horseflies are out of control!!! If you’d like to not be bitten the entire time and swatting At flies, I would choose another beach! The flies are so bad because they come from the bay which is located directly...

Beautiful beach. Sand and water are clean and the beach is spacious. No crowds because there are no attractions here, but that’s what makes it the ideal beach. Peaceful and nothing but the waves, like a beach should be. This is the best south jersey beach I’ve been to by far....
