The Beach At Strathmere — Local services in Upper Township

This beach is an absolutely hidden gem. Beautiful stretch of beach shore, and a beautiful tiny beach town in Cape May County. The beach and parking in the entire town is absolutely free, one of the only beaches in the entire state of NJ like this! My wife and I got here on a Thursday morning late July at 8am and were able to park right next to the beach, probably a good 2 minute walk from the car to the beach. We came back Sunday at around 1pm, and although it was a little more difficult to find parking we were also able to secure a spot coming at this time. This is a family friendly...

Free for now as of 2020 season. They were looking into beach tags. I can see it in the future. Its natural looking Beach. Parking is limited due to being a small town and limiting parking again in 2020. And if you don't mind all the signs littering the town making it look like a giant billboard. This is a good strip of beach to go to with your family for free. Parking can be hard sometimes but it's pretty nice. Parts of this beach sometimes have no life guards on duty so you swim at your own risk. Also, people come there to fish right on the beach so beware of your surroundings if your trying to swim.
