Most of the reviews on here are being more than gracious! It’s not a review of the beautiful lake, it’s a review of the business giving you access! Which in this case was 1 star. The beach and facilities were nice but the rude business employees ruined the experience! First recommendation - don’t EVER come on a weekend or holiday during the summer! Cemetery Point is FULL by 11 and they’ll turn you away. They are NOT disability-friendly!! I got there at 10 and had to park in the overflow/upper lot. I had 2 kayaks and a canopy. Luckily people that were arriving at the same time, helped carry them to the main beach. (Luckily our group wasn’t at the very point.) Upon leaving, (our group that could have helped, already left) so I dragged the 3 items up to the adjacent parking lot, so I could get my truck to load them. After walking on the hot sand which burned the bottom of my feet, I exited the overflow and went to go to the main parking lot. I was immediately blocked by one of the workers in a golf cart. I told him I needed to go pick up my stuff and that I was DISABLED. He told me I’d have to turn around and get it from the overflow because the Sheriff’s Office blah blah. Long story short, LUCKILY, another employee happened to be driving by my wife and 2 yo grandchild and the equipment by the beach, and came and told the other golf cart warrior to give me 5 minutes to get my stuff and leave! I saw NO handicap parking nor would they allow me to pass despite being disabled. It felt like discrimination. I will NEVER go back on a weekend and probably won’t at anytime in the foreseeable future. Even though it’s part of the, I think, National Forest lands, it’s run by a private company. They’re QUICK to take your $23, but DONT ask for a favor, as you can read! I considered litigation but I don’t want to waste any more of my time, and decided I’d just SHARE...

Last Saturday I decided to take the family to the lake but was extremely disappointed. We showed up in the afternoon, which may have been my mistake in the first place, and paid the $16 to get in. Once in I had several issues.

There were no parking spots except at the boat ramp. I drove all the way down the peninsula and back and saw nothing. I was going to head over to the boat ramp but, after driving all the way down and back, there wasn't any beach to sit on.

Beach. Yes I understand that the water is currently high thus limiting the beach. There was only about 6 ft from the parking pavement to the water and every foot was covered by people and chairs. I couldn't have even walked into the water if I wanted to.

Customer Service. After being frustrated about the parking and water access issues I decided we needed to leave and look elsewhere. As I was leaving I decided to stop by the entrance gate and ask for a refund as there was nowhere to go. I was immediately told no. The policy is "If there are parking spots there are no refunds". They didn't even care about no beach. I explained that we couldn't even get to the water but she just stared at me. They need to update their policy to work with the water level. All they think about is taking your money and don't care if you can even get in the water. Stay out of here and try a...

When you seek a beach like vibe in Utah there is only a few places to go and this is definitely one of them. Clean sand limited space so it sure does crown in quickly. Everyone is nice and there to have fun too. You can bring a grill and chill lake side all day long. Water temp is decent and waves are mellow. Great spot to pull up, set up and canopy, grill and hangout close to the water. Come early in a nice day because parking fills up quick. My only gripe would be the rude parking enforcement duo they had driving around on a golf cart always speaking at everyone with an ignorant negative tone. They really killed the vibe and didn’t have any courtesy for anyone. Enjoy the pics and random footage I captured while there in June...

We went there on a Thursday to paddleboard and swim with family. Most Utah beaches are usually pretty rocky, but this one was better than most and we could comfortably walk on it without shoes. I was very pleased with the water temperature and lack of big crowds (probably because it was a week day). There is an entry fee, but it felt reasonable for the accommodations. It was very clean. There were bathrooms, trash cans, and a designated swimming area, which was nice! The water was perfect when we went (mid July), and the views were very nice. There was no crazy road or anything to get here either. The only thing to really note is they don’t allow dogs, beach fires, charcoal grills, or alcohol.
