I think this place would make more money if it was still a bar like it used to be in the old days. Did you know that all the movie stars in the western movies that filmed around there used to go in and patron the bar to stay cool from the hot summers.

That alone was worth going in the original bar, and the barstools that sat in the museum, were there when John Wayne Burt Reynolds, the Lone Ranger and Ronald Reagan, and many more set of those bars and cooled off with a beer.

What I’m telling you is I sat at the same barstool is John Wayne and I know that because I purposely sad and every barstool to make sure that I did.

With that said, it is still worth coming to because of all of the artifacts that are there. We saw dinosaur tracks fossils, Native American artifacts rocks, that glowed and many other things along with a Shop to buy momentos.

There’s a restroom for when you’re there outside of the case as well as a food truck and on the other side of the food truck, there is a tiny cave that I don’t think most people go to. The cave looks very small like a child kid only go through it but if you duck and go in quickly, you can stand up. It goes pretty far deep in facts for enough to where it gets completely black and a little bit scary. I turned on my flashlight for my phone to make sure I wasn’t gonna get murdered by some random thing in the cave. So that also made a cool.

I would say definitely stop and check it out. It’s only seven dollars and I would pay that just to sit in John...

There is a museum that is $6, and the glowing rock collection there is really good. Most of it though is a gift shop, but you can not go into the gift shop unless you pay the museum fee. In the gift shop you have your regular array of tourist gifts. They have jewlery they say is from several native tribes and they have said all of them are Sterling silver and various gems. We have bought a ring but did not check the stamping on it. Later in the day we noticed a chip on the side of it and it looked like it had been only perhaps veneered in silver and not solid silver. We went to return it the next day and the seller was offended and upset. We looked at other rings and some had the Sterling silver stamp and some did not but she kept insisting they were all silver, however couldn't provide a certificate of authenticity. We told her that either way we wanted to return and then she tried to tell us they don't allow returns, however they did not have any sign in the shop saying that. We finally got it returned, but the experience was disappointing as the seller kept trying to guilt us into keeping the ring and feigning being appalled at the though of perfectly fine merchandise being returned and how that has never happened to her before. You are better off finding the authentic Navajo little shops in the area and buying directly from them, they have the Sterling silver stamps and the certificates of authenticity and you are not enriching the middle white man. This is the Moqui...

Cool history! Seems like more of a gift shop you have to pay to enter. I don’t think it’s worth the cost for a larger family at 5-7 dollars per. I think a one time fee for families would be a better idea. Also maybe give a 15% off coupon for people who buy things. A lot of the rocks are hard to see with the lights off. We love the rocks that glow but many don’t and are impossible to see. Maybe separate ones that glow from ones that don’t so they can have lights on them. To get more return visitors I would make the cave a more interesting experience by adding lighting and even some separation of rooms so most of it is in light. Shop is cool but feels crowded needs more space to look around. I would also offer maps of Indian sites that can be visited and take a bigger role in sharing that information like a BLM visitor center. This will keep people coming back and give more insight to where all the artifacts in the museum came from. I wondered how they are able to have so many artifacts of the native Americans being a private company. Understanding this would also help visitors see how preserving them helps show their history. Also having all those Dino footprints seems strange understanding this would also help because now that would be a federal offense. The bar is so interesting but with all that room in the cave could be organized way better to enjoy each piece of history better. Also get some of it under glass so the dust is much less...
