OK, the picture that Google has of the store is not related to this site. But I took my grandson to visit the store and everyone was more than helpful to get me started in the right direction in building a great (safe) tree house in the backyard. Walking into the store (it is a small warehouse, not something you might expect as a retail location) we were welcomed in and our education started right off. The hardware guy was very friendly and demonstrated the hardware and various approaches to tree houses were covered. When I got to some technical questions we were passed off to Daniel, who took us on a tour that covered the various approaches from single tree to two, three and four tree treehouses. They even have a train that wraps through their woods using an array of techniques. (The grouds are used for partys etc.).
I gained a good sense of confidence to start on my project. Daniel even suggested we take a few pictures of our planned trees and a draft layout and email or bring by for him to go over. They have what you need in hardware, expertise, and tools. They can even rent you tools to save money.
We a a bit of a time finding this place using Google. Google dropped us off on the side of 202 (a limited access highway!). Yea, the store was somewhere through the woods. So we traveled to the street address the old fashion way and found their sign easily. Not sure why Google had an issue with that. Guess they may have used the GPS coordinates instead of the street address? The store is way back in the woods but there is good signage pointing the way. Just don't look for the store in the picture! That is not related to this...
Read moreThis is a dishonest company. I was seeking grab handles for the treehouse that I recently built. I found what I was looking for on the their website, and the listing stated "sold in pairs." Then the company sent me one handle. When I asked them to correct their mistake, they claimed that the listing was clearly only for one handle, although they also admitted that the listing had errors in it. No matter what I said to them, they refused to explain to me how "sold in pairs" was supposed to mean that I was only ordering one handle. They refused to send me the 2nd handle (that I had already ordered and paid for) unless I paid for the handle again. I noticed that they have changed the listing for the handle as of 1/3/23, but when I ordered the handles it was quite clear that the price was for a pair of handles. The company admits that they made a mistake on their website, but then they act like that is my fault, and they won't send me the product that I have already paid for.
Update: In their reply to my review, this company repeats the same lies. What does "sold in pairs" mean? It means that for the price listed, you get two of the item, otherwise known as a "pair." If the listing says "each" and "sold in pairs" that means that the price listed is for each pair. Again I ask, why is your mistake in your...
Read moreIâm a customer from Canada and was ready to buy a lot of tree bolts for my treehouse project. After taking advantage of the free virtual meeting / consultation, the staff advised me that my trees were too small and I needed to modify my plan so that my treehouse would be safe. This resulted in a substantial order being cancelled so I am very grateful to the staff for their honesty. I will likely be shopping here again for accessories once my project gets to that stage. I also recommend the book âBackyard Treehousesâ by the same owner (I think!) Honest, reliable and...
