Gorgeous place with tons of trail and road hiking options and picnic spots. Since the trails intersect often as they wind through the property, I recommend bringing a GPS-enabled phone. Some of the trails get muddy and a little difficult to walk on after a hard rain, but in general, everything looks well maintained. There are lots of signs about keeping dogs on leashes, but it doesn't seem like people care, so you'll likely get to meet a friendly dog or five.

Multiple dog friendly easy trails— I have a knee injury so easy to walk as long or as short as want… beautiful stream. This was after days of heavy rain so there was some muddy patches but still easy to maneuver… Roadside parking.

Nice and even paths. The only drawbacks there isnt a place to fill water bottles . And I would be careful taking small children on a hike . I've been bitten a few times by dogs not on leashes. In the last year

you asked for it, walking on this trail was one of the most shocking and horrifying walks of my life, and after pointing this out to other hikers on the trail, and them looking at me dumbfoundedly I must be alone in my opinion. Vashon should be ashamed that they let this happen, I'm no tree hugger but it is blatantly obvious that one (of many) of the wired fences is completely choking off the natural ecosystem, just so someone can have a 200 yard backyard, and I have never freaking walked on a trail that had 7' chicken wire on both sides of it! Disgusting, truly disgusting, Vashon with their "pride" of wildlife on the...

Nothing remarkable about the trailhead itself but the Island Center trail system is really neat. My most recent visit was on a mountain bike on a sunny day and even then there were only a small handful of other trail users. Definitely an underutilized resource and great place for a quick trail ride...
