We made the reservation and were told that it would be an hour guided tour through the zoo. When we arrived, we were received by the person in charge who does not have the most welcoming attitude. Rules and path to follow were explained and we were left to go around the "zoo" by ourselves. There are no signs on the cages identifying what type of species you are seeing and the employees could not tell us when we asked about certain animals. The animals do not look well taken care of. There are some cages with mixed species and small space. The employees do not seem knowledgeable or customer service oriented, and the animals don't look happy. Most of them were cornered in their cages and had an unhealthy appearance. There is an area with bigger animals that is all fenced and you cannot see most of the animals there, given that it's a zoo you would expect a path to be able to see all species closer. We finished up walking the backyard called a zoo in about 15 minutes and even had to ask for them to open the gate because they're not even paying attention to customer's. Our two 7 and 9 years old kids left disappointed because they went eager to learn about the animals and sad about the conditions of the place. It was overall a...

I had at this time two concerns: there is no parking (you leave you car in a narrow street), personnel not so friendly, specially a grey hair lady that scream at the top of her lung making a warning to a lady that maybe forgot that you can not take pictures of a person with an animal (this is maybe what we do when going to a Zoo), (they charge you for the pictures with animals) she should have been more polite and tell the lady in another way to remember that that can not be done instead...
Read moreUnfortunately, the customer service was not what we expected. We had a walkthrough reservation for 1:00 pm. First of all the gate was closed. We had to call 2 times and leave a message. We signed documents that it is not allowed to take pictues with the animals. After waiting for the " orientation" the lady was charging us $7.00 just to see the facility. We explained that it a risk assessment that is required in our organization, if we are going to take children. So, saying that $21.00 vs $160 that they lost right there...for trying to chrage an assessment. Guess, we will not be visiting Kira's Exotic Zoo . No risk...
