I visited in March and it was fairly busy. Every person we saw had shark tooth hunting equipment. We didn’t rent or buy anything like that for shark tooth hunting. I used my hands to dig along the shore. After 3 hours of on and off digging I found one tiny intact tooth and one broken one. I was happy with that but don’t expect to find teeth without a substantial amount of time, equipment and work. The water is very pretty here and I saw some people snorkeling. There are large rocks by the store when you first enter the water. The sand is black and even in March was scorching hot! I saw people leaving trash behind which is awful. The parking was a nightmare. We had to circle the multiple parking lots for an hour to get a spot. It’s free at least but I’d honestly rather pay and be guaranteed a spot than have to drive aimlessly for an hour fighting over...

You used to be able to find tons of sharks teeth there, but I'm sure they are all past the rocks now. So disappointed. Still...

I had no idea, even after reading a ton of websites and reviews, about all of the huge rocks that lined the waters edge before arriving there in person. Making it nearly impossible to make it past the break (without getting incredibly banged up) in order to actually swim. So we didn't stay too long, because my kids love actually being out in the water, and the waves were very strong that day...but it...
