Century Park Pavilion — Attraction in Vernon Hills

Century Park is the best park in the area and this pavilion is the center of many great memories of mine. I was the center of my sports camp many years ago. There is sand volleyball, 1.5 basketball courts, a softball field, grassy area, a spider web climbing thing for kids, a zip line, and the great big hill. Basically any activity can be done around this pavilion, but it’s also a great starting spot for long walks around Century Park. Inside the pavilion is an air conditioned seating area that is usually not open to the public, and there is a vending machine and bathrooms as well. This is one of the neighborhood parks in Vernon Hills. It is very well designed and managed by VHPD. It has a close to 2 miles walking and biking trail around the small lake - twin lakes. On a nice sunny day, it dmmakes you feel really good taking a walk around here, biking, watching and just enjoying the nice breeze. There are outdoor gym equipment here. A few grounds for baseball and Cricket. Basketball courts and volleyball is also available. For kids, there are at least two nice parks with various playsets and zip lining.
