I wanted to bring my dog but pets weren’t allowed. However, when we were there some folks just on the other side of the chain link fence had their dog swimming in the same water and no one said anything so maybe there’s a loophole on the other side of the fence.

We arrived at 4 and the slide was open for 5 minutes. They closed it for the evening after that so my daughter never got to go down. Then she jumped off the diving board once and they closed that too. At 5 they Took down all their tents and gear and said the beach was closed but if we wanted to keep swimming it was at our own risk. That’s fine, but why does it say everywhere that a lifeguard is on duty til 6 every day then? It was a little disappointing because then my daughter couldn’t do the things she wanted to do. Oh well. It was nice to swim and it’s a lovely park too. The splash pad is large but the water is freezing! It didn’t seem to bother my...

We are from out of state and drove 20 minutes to visit this beach that we found online. Our children were excited about the water slide! We went down to the water slide when we arrived, we were told that we needed wristbands. We went to the concessions and bought 5 wristbands ($30). We immediately went back to the water slide and the lifeguards were on break. After about 15 minutes we finally asked when it would reopen. We were told that they were not going to reopen it, it's closed for the rest of the day. It was 4 pm and 85 degrees out, the beach was open until 6 pm. We asked the concessions for our money back and they said "no." I wouldn't trust that you're going to get the amenities that you're paying for here. The bathrooms were also disgusting. There's got to be a nicer...

This place is absolutely wonderful for a family... But seriously charging 6$ per person (4$ for residents) for use of a park and beach. It's not a state park. It's honestly discriminatory against lower income families that are hoping to get outside and use a PUBLIC space. And to have a couple of teenagers be on lifeguard duty that are doing morning more than text and tan.

The paying to use it just ruined the rest of the experience because we don't have $30 to spend for our family to do that when it was a day planned to basically do something free. Then the whole time having to keep my kids out of the area... It's ridiculous. Even when you're not in the gated area the life guards coming over and telling people they can't swim in areas other than the gated (paid)...

A great idea, but not fully realized. The beach area is heavily utilized and a lot of folks seem to enjoy themselves there. The lake is used by swimmers and fishers, although they sometimes overlap poorly. The lake is surrounded by cottonwood trees which makes the lake very dirty with the fluff for most of the month of June. Otherwise, the lake offers ample places for shore fishing for panfish and some small to medium bass.

Nice beach with pretty clean water. Love the shade and grass in addition to some decent sand! When we were three, kids were allowed past the ropes if an adult was with them in the water. The small playground was nice too. There were some really nice and responsible kids on staff. Nice little snack bar, but the shower/bathroom facilities could use some updating. Overall a great little beach.

Fun park all around. Took my 3 grandkids ages 2, 5 and 7. They loved it! The youngest and I stayed uptop at the splash pad, hubby took the older 2 to the beach. They went off the diving board, swam and played games in the quarry. Fun fun day!
