HORRIBLE !! The Masseuse felcian had NO technique to her massage! This is suppose to be their best masseuse but she gave me the most mediocre, non relaxing massage i have ever received!!! There was no technique to her massage whatsoever. Just fast rubbing motions and uncomfortable wrestling stretches on my arms and legs that i told her hurt!!! Now my hip joint feels sore and needs attention! I told her multiple times i did not feel relaxed. I tried to guide her through the massage, on what to do and where because i desperately needed a massage and this was my only free time to get one. Of course that wasn’t ideal but i figured I’ll bring up my concerns with the people at the front desk because i wanted to be compensated for such a horrible experience and i didn’t have time to wait for another appointment time. I never complain about things or take it this far but this was the worst experience I’ve ever had. The front desk was horrible too with handling my concerns! They simply told me oh well, you have to find your match. So i took it a step further and I tried calling the customer service number they have on the wall but every time i call it goes to voice mail. FAKE NUMBER. I called the store back after several attempts to reach the fake number they gave me and the lady i spoke to was SOO RUDE AND NEEDS TRAINING ON HOW TO HANDLE CUSTOMERS CONCERNS! I explained to her my unpleasant experience, but she didn’t care. I shared with her that besides my neck & shoulders my legs and feet were an area i wanted attention on but the masseuse barely spent 5 mins there. & that she hurt my hip with the abrupt and unpleasant stretch she did to my leg. The receptionist response was “i thought you said she didn’t spend anytime there”. Just completely rude and trying to discredit my concerns. She ended up hanging up on me because i called her out on her rudeness. I will never visit this independent operated location ever again ! HORRIBLE PEOPLE !!! HORRIBLE...
Read moreIt was my first time getting a massage and I did not have the experience I thought I would have coming out. I usually go to spas but lately I had to work long hours everyday so I decided to try something new. First the person who assisted me was nice at first and I did a survey and indicated where I wanted to be worked on which EXCLUDED massaging my butt and feet. So I stated I was uncomfortable there but the lady who massaged me still touched me there even though it showed on her iPad I didn’t wanted to be touch in those places. She also sounded annoyed instead of comforting since I was very ticklish. It didn’t felt like a massage it just felt like she was just rubbing oil on me. She also had nails which I felt in certain parts of my body which felt uncomfortable. I came out and the guy at the front desk tried to make me believe it was an amazing experience when I told him “to be honest no but I’ll try someone else next time”. I told him my experience with her and he stood there quiet for a moment and looked around then again tried to make me think it was amazing she’s good and nice. When in reality in my experience no. Then he began to pressure me to sign up for the program when I already told him I’ll try another person and think about it then he kept talking about he’s in the process of learning how to massage so I should schedule with him. When I clearly told him “I am not okay scheduling with a male”. He then got annoyed and gave me a discount card with his name on it then.... out of nowhere another employee started shouting and getting upset talking about “it’s his fault I don’t know why I’m getting charged if he hit my car!” She literally didn’t realized till the other employees coughed to give her a sign. I was standing there but still you’re in a massage business it was very unprofessional and uncomfortable I am never going back there again...
Read moreOk, so I’m going to give a 💯 honest review. I went to get a massage set on cancelling my membership because of something that happened that I didn’t like. The day after Hurricane Ida I had an appointment. Well, I also had water damage in my home and was flooded into my area, hence I forgot about the appointment. I was told that it didn’t matter and I was loosing an hour of credit (I pay $75 a month for these credits). Well, I felt like the lack of empathy towards a client was not ok.
With that said, I went to this appointment deciding to cancel my membership after my massage (just didn’t feel like it was worth it after what I’d gone through) and I figured there are plenty other massage places that will be more considerate towards their clients. Well, I had Danielle as my massage therapists and she was AMAZING!! I literally fell asleep several times. After that, I decided to reschedule another session with her and completely forgot about wanting to cancel 😂.
Overall, I’m happy with my experience in Massage Envy. But I do feel that they should alter their policy for things such as natural disasters ect. Im still undecided if I should keep my membership because, again, I was going through a difficult time and they literally didn’t care, they just cared that I didn’t show up to the appointment. But as of right now, I’ll be going back to see Danielle and decide later.
Update: I’ve cancelled my membership and lost 6 sessions because if you work and have kids you can’t possibly fulfill all your sessions in the allotted time they give you. With that said, I keep my review with 5 stars because I like the massage therapists but I recommend skipping the subscription and just paying for...
