A historical marker set in a small area with a picnic table and nice flowers, right behind the "Welcome to Blue Mounds" sign, in between Cave of the Mounds and Blue Mounds State Park.

A small description of the history of the Black Hawk War is written here. Not a great, positive light on our history, but something that should be remembered.

If you're in the area visiting the sites, it's worth stopping here to read the sign. There's a small area to pull off the road just...

It's out in the middle of a farmer's field now. Access is hard to get and there isn't anything there anyway. There is an historic marker on the edge of town of Blue...
