Veterans Memorial Park — Attraction in Village of Prairie du Sac

25 sites-only 4 totally shade, rest about 1/4 of it is in shade. No showers, No water or electric hook up. $30 per night per tent. Has a boat launch for $5/day-free life jacket use available. Flexible when you only want one night. Has a walking trail past camping area with a parking area. Fishing area and a free canoe launching area. No swimming allowed but did see a few kids playing in area where water was about 2 1/2'-3' deep. The dam is about 1/4 mile up stream- good fishing area. DO NO SWIM IN THIS AREA!! It's a great place to go to watch eagles and other birds ducks even seen a little fox it was more scared of people than fierce I wish people were nicer to foxes they don't really hurt people unless you try to hurt them but it is a great place to see Wildlife watch the people fish and just have lunch or relax and just watch the scenery . We must truly respect these beautiful places we shouldn't litter cuz it causes havoc to the animals surrounding it and not try to scare the animals just sit back and watch them how beautiful they are and what a blessing God gave us when he gave us his creatures to watch and care...

Great place to visit, VFW offers camping, great view of the Dam, access to the river for tubing, kayaking, boating, fishing all things River, can't forget the walking trail, I did I do believe you can rent out the pavilions and the VFW post itself as well.
