Rented the key club shelter and had a baby shower at clearbrook park yesterday. The park has always been a nice place to go to have fun with family and friends. The shelter was nice and clean and had everything we needed. There are a couple of issues we had. First issue is if clearbrook or the county is going to continue to rent out the shelters that are all the way to the back of the park, they need to definitely upgrade their carts that are there to carry items. The way some of them are made and the age of the carts, makes it very difficult to push or pull your items to where you need without stuff falling out. Also some of the flatter carts either had bad wheels or the wheels were completely flat. Thank goodness there was a very nice, and helpful park ranger who went out of his way to help our group and others who were struggling with the carts and the long walk to the shelters. Second, if the county or clearbrook is going to rent out the shelters that are all the way in the back, then they at least need to have a better way to get to the shelters all the way in the back that’s closer to those shelters without having to walk for such a long distance. Before it was decided to close off parking at the back of the park where the baseball fields used to be, they really should have made another way for people to get to the...
Read moreThe Christmas lights that the do here are spectacular. I have been to many of the light shows you pay to enter in the late the November-December time of the year, but I would have to say bar none this one has been my favorite. It is a path around a very large pond (or lake depending on who you are) that probably takes you 20-30 minutes to walk around at comfortable pace. But you also have a few displays you will want to stop and enjoy. My three year old daughter wanted to go around twice, and it was difficult to get her to leave the park. They have a Santa there for your children to visit and free photo opportunities, a fire pit to enjoy right next to the pond, and a heated tent to enjoy your free cup of hot chocolate. Right next to the free hot chocolate is a carnival style food vender with funnel cakes, fried Oreos, ribbon chips they fry to order, and a few other things. I would just strongly recommend trying this light show out this Christmas season. It has become a tradition for my...
Read moreClearbrook Park is a big park where everything is around a medium-large pond, giving many nice sights to take pictures of! There are two playgrounds, a train car, a pool, and volleyball fields, but there are places away from people if you want to relax.
If you're a photographer, you'll be drawn to the pond, the park's main landmark. Around sunset, it looks pretty, and makes for good photos!
This park has changed somewhat over the years I've visited it. For example, both bridges were replaced, and the water tower at the back of the park was removed. Additionally, the larger playground was modified twice; A spiral slide was taken out, and recently (2024-2025), the playground itself was upgraded, now taller than it was before this.
I recommend this park to anyone around the area. No, not just in Clear Brook, I mean anyone in the general area. It's my favorite park for a reason! Just keep in mind the park closes at dusk, and it may close sooner depending on which park...
