All 4 stars of this place are for the view, service and the venue. The wine is typical of a newer winery, rushed to sale, it’s not terrible but it’s not amazing (unless you like sweet wines). However they do have a couple drinkable wines like the white blend, the dry rose and the red blend. The beer is also mediocre at best because it’s all hazy, chill haze, residual protein. A 6% Pilsner? Why? I enjoy crashed styles and they don’t do them well, they may do the other beer styles well. If they took their time and just did one thing well it would be better. The meats in the food truck were awesome, well done. However the overall execution could also be better. Like put the tacos in a pan sautéed corn tortilla instead of a cold flour tortilla out of the bag. However, the food truck people were also so nice. I’m torn, I want to love this place but again, things could be done better. Overall, still glad we visited. The view!!! And if you don’t know beer and wine you will...

This is a brand new micro brewery near the Virginia Safari Park. The owner is very nice. They served 5 different brews with a good IPA. You come here for the environment. You can enjoy a pleasant view of the Blue Ridge mountains while enjoying an adult beverage and the peaceful setting. This place is not too commercial yet so this is a great place to bring the family for a few hours. If you bring children, you should bring some outdoor games since there is ample open space. They don't serve too much food or snacks (yet) some bring your own. This would be a great location for a small event (up to 50 max; 30 indoor only?)

I wish the owner luck and recommend this for a nice getaway while visiting the Natural...

This place has great beer and a great view of the blue ridge mountains and valley. We tried several beers like their Triple and Hibiscus Wheat and they were excellent.

This is a great place to visit after visiting the Natural Bridge and doing that hike.

The only draw back is they don’t have food until 4 pm when their food trailer opens with a good bar type menu. You are allowed to bring your own pick nick basket with food.

They have a nice terrace and a picnic table area overlooking the great view. On weekends they have live music on the terrace.

You can bring your dog to the outside terrace and...

Yesterday (1-8-21) was my first experience at Great Valley. A beautiful setting, but unfortunately it was too cold and overcast to really appreciate it. I had a flight of beers that included their oatmeal porter (good), barleywine (disliked the finish/aftertaste), and one blonde and one brown ale, both good. My date had a wine flight, and I sampled what I seem to recall was a Merlot which was quite good, but would be better with a food pairing. I plan to visit here again in better weather - I understand they regularly have live music and food trucks during the warmer seasons.

Great view, wonderful place to relax with a good drink. Outdoor picnic tables (limited indoor seating). Gravel parking lot. Parking does fill up in the afternoon. Limited food options, though there was a Jamaican food truck there when we visited, which was clutch. Dog friendly, kid friendly outdoors areas. The booze was delightful. Biggest criticism would be that the bathrooms (unisex) are not wheelchair accessible and lack baby changing tables. There are business grant options for infrastructure improvements to increase inclusivity, so really no excuse for this nowadays.
