Loriella Park — Attraction in Virginia

Best park in Fredericksburg IMO, it has it all & is also home 2 the Main Office Involving Spotsylvania County Parks & Wreck where you can illicit & enroll in a wide variety of public team based sports. This park also has Tennis Courts, a recently Renovated Basketball Court with Multiple Hoops ( Also Recently had the asphalt floor base for the Basketball Courts repainted. This Park also has multiple soccer fields, Baseball Fields, and a Local Pool that requires a yearly membership 2 use and is utilized by families of all ages, young & old alike; It's quite packed daily over the Pool Season. This park also has a large parking area 4 accommodates a large crowd of locals who frequent the park, of course parking is free. Bungalows, & grill, picnic tables are also found here & are popular 2 be used as party & event occasions; is situated next too 1 of the 2 play ground/area on site. Venturing deeper into this wonderful park. You'll even find a Frisbee Golf Course that even occasionally holds local tournaments & Events. Beyond and near the perimiter of the Frisbee Gold Area, There's even an old historic gravesite with un-named tombs from the Cival War & is allowed public mingling 2 see & exhibit the previous occupants and casulties of our nations blood lust war over slavery and the south's desired Independence. I nearly 4got 2 mention th eres a plethora of trails 2 walk with your family and friends & is a great nature walk for any child w/ family.... Idk what else I could possibly say, this park has it all & is a mainstay amongst our family here in...

My son and I frequently visit. He loves the park and I have to say I thoroughly enjoy being there with him. The air is clean and this wonderful park is well maintained. The plastic playground equipment is in good shape and cover a wide range of children age groups.

The public public pool there is large and clean. Hiking trails are good but need some attention. It is inexpensive and the lifeguards are attentive.

A vast frisbee golf course is great for kite flying or RC aircraft (I am not sure if those are legal there but nobody is likely to give you problems).

Unless there happens to be a frisbee golf tournament in progress (rare), there always seems to be ample parking space. The area surrounding the park is heavily wooded. And the general neighborhood near the park is relatively safe.

The main playground area is surrounded by tall trees such that it is in shade and cool in the summer. There are also swings in the open near the vast field, if one desires nothing but sky while swinging.

Near the playground is a large gazebo with plenty of aluminum tables and seating and a small BBQ grill. I have seen many birthday parties there. A public restroom is right next to that.

There are also baseball, tennis and soccer areas.

Basically, this is how ALL public...

They should have longer hours. At least 10:00Am - 6:00pm. And they should allow some type of snacks or food on the sides of the pool where they sit as long as people aren’t messy about it and clean up after themselves. They should loosen up a bit, I understand there’s rules for safety and such but they could do better and have a lot more people enjoy it. They should also have a limit I feel on how many people should be allowed into the pool each day because there shouldn’t be so many people to where it’s very crowded everywhere, especially in the water.. that can cause lifeguards to not see someone drowning if someone were too because there’s too many people swimming around and going crazy. And lastly adult swim should be AT LEAST 20 minutes lol cause kids are crazy and swim aggressively everywhere, hitting people, running...
