Orange Troller — Attraction in Virginia

I booked Captain Ellis for a good friend's bachelor party and he was absolutely excellent! He clearly answered all my questions up front when I called to inquire about booking, the day of he was prompt, easy to spot at the marina due to the orange top pontoon, and the pontoon was in excellent condition. He was flexible the day of to start an hour later than we initially planned due to the groom's flight into town being delayed, and even gave us an extra 30 minutes free of charge on the back end since we were his last booking of the day. The bachelor party was held over the July 4th weekend which is one of the busiest times of the year and Captain Ellis was extremely professional and competent in navigating us around the lake as smoothly as possible. He also let us connect to his pontoon's bluetooth speaker to play music while we road. Captain Ellis was so great I ended up coming back a couple weeks later to take a boating lesson with him, which was also top-notch in terms of the hands-on training he provided and how clearly he explained numerous key boating concepts (I've didn't have any boating experience) to me....

Captain Ellis is AMAZING! This class should be mandatory for anyone who wants to learn how to drive a boat. My partner and I both took the boating safety course online but had no real life boating experience. We come to Lake Anna ALL the time and go boating with our friends but we both figured it was time to get behind the wheel. The class itself is packed with information but Captain Ellis makes it so easy to remember; we never had to take notes, it was that easy to remember because Captain Ellis explains it so well. He was so patient and took the time to explain the information in different ways so we could really understand it. Captain Johnny Ellis is truly an Officer and a gentleman. My wife and I had NO Boating Experience and we wanted to explore recreational boating on Lake Anna in Virginia. Captain Ellis understood our anxiety and concerns and he expertly and calmly explained the basic fundamentals of safety and skill needed to begin to understand what we need to do. Of course we will continue to learn by doing- but we learned how to do things the right way. He gave us extra time for our lesson without any additional charge.
