My husband and I are visiting from Frederick Maryland and decided to check out this Vineyard we were the only people there on a gorgeous Wednesday afternoon and we had the pleasure of meeting Steph , one of the owners, we enjoyed our time tasting their delicious wines and hearing the story of how they came to own this lovely vineyard she also really took the time to explain the process and what they do there and it made for a wonderful afternoon and left us wishing that we lived closer so that we could be regular and support this wonderful family owned business. My favorite was the black water semi sweet and the peach wine the peach wine you are going to want to bring home several bottles of! While sitting on their veranda you forget that you are somewhere in Virginia and get lost in the beauty and the escape of it all…. support your local small business, support this lovely family that works so hard to bring a product for us to enjoy! They even welcomed our 150 pound Great Pyrenees! Keep up the great work Thomas and Steph! We wish you the best! Cheryl ,Mark & Nanook (pics so you know who...
Read moreThe winery was nice inside and had a nice covered patio outside looking out over the vineyard. Great views and atmosphere. We like dryer wines, so we got a dry white and a dry red flight. Neither myself nor my husband liked any of them, unfortunately. Most of them, IMHO, were undrinkable, with the exception of the Traminette. I wish I was exaggerating when I say that a couple of the reds smelled like dirty lake water and tasted just as bad. Also, there was no guided tastings. Just big flight pours that you could take to a table and pour into a glass yourself. The woman that poured our flights was very nice. I would give the atmosphere 4 stars, but the wine itself I would give zero to 1. My best advice would be to keep driving past to the winery/vineyard further down the road. MUCH...
Read moreFirst ones to arrive on wet Sunday afternoon. 1920's music was blaring in the main tasting room, and wet grass kept us from the gazebo, so we opted for outside on patio. Doors were broken, had to go out through side door with tasting tray that takes 2 hands to carry, purse, The outdoor fans were so loud, squeaky and wobbly, we opted to go back inside and asked if loud music could be changed or turned down. It was turned down only a little. Still couldn't hear ourselves talk. The woman working there complained about patrons breaking the doors, stealing the door handles, water, toilet paper and paper towels. Really? Get your act together and try to make things pleasant for guests, not wish we'd never came.. Pros: generous wine pours. Honestly cannot remember the wines, just the...
