Such a neat little historic place, in Newport News about a 1/2 hour from Williamsburg. It was great seeing a historical home that has been so preserved, and is still a pillar in the community in the legacy of Mr. Newsome. What a well-cared for, beautiful home! The docent was very knowledgeable about the family, home, and community events. They have furniture original to the family, more than we've seen locally or indeed regionally.
