We keep passing by here while going to see family. I fnally got time on the way back to stop in. Just off Rt 15 right around Lucketts VA. If coming north on 15, you may miss it as just around a bend. Their driveway needs some new gravel as there were a few potholes to manuver around. But once past that, the beers await your arrival.
I got a flight of six beers while my wife got a wine slushie. You can check out the brewing as the tanks are right there. I went with a wide selection so I could taste their range of beers. I was amazed to see such a large variety of beers which would match any beer drinkers taste. There were some sours as well, but mostly beer. The information sheet at the front for the beers provide a great description of each. At then end of it all, I got a six pack of La Hacienda and a Ghost Fleet shirt for home.
Plenty of space inside and what looks to be even much more outside. It was raining, so we didn't venture out. Small game room for those that need some additional fun or to keep the kids busy. There was a wedding that day, so if interested, keep it in mind for a location.
Since it was Sunday, we were happy to get some Nomini Bay Oysters. As you can see in the photo, they have plenty of meat (12 for $24 is a bargain too). These are brought up from the coast locally and are shucked by the same fisherman. The shrimp were also a good size and the Old Bay was added perfectly. They have other food you would find like pizza, burgers and such if seafood isn't your thing.
We were happy to stop by finally and will try our best to stop...
Read moreI recently visited Vanish Brewery, and unfortunately, it was a frustrating and disappointing experience from the moment I walked in. The lack of proper customer service was immediately apparent—there was no warm greeting, no bartenders at the bar, and instead, I was met with a setup that felt more like ordering at a fast-food chain than a craft brewery.
Rather than providing helpful guidance, the brewery relies on an overwhelming amount of written instructions, leaving first-time visitors to figure things out on their own. The young cashiers seemed uninterested and were quick to point out if a customer had “failed” to follow their instructions, rather than offering any real assistance.
When I ordered a flight of 12 drinks, they placed them on an unnecessarily heavy wooden slab that even the staff struggled to carry. They ended up spilling my beer and still expected me to haul it to my table—meanwhile, with the audacity to tell me next time to fill out two cards which isn’t written any where. When I politely requested two separate, more manageable blocks, I was met with attitude, as if I had inconvenienced them, despite having already paid and tipped.
This is not the kind of place where customers are valued or treated with respect. If you’re looking for a welcoming atmosphere where staff genuinely care about your experience, I’d strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere. Vanish Brewery is far from a relaxing or enjoyable place to visit, and I won’t be returning. That is why...
Read moreThe venue and product make this place. Being in the customer service industry for 15 years I thought I would bring to your attention some of my unpleasant recent experience. I had been planning my one Sunday off this month to go have a night out here with my Fiancé and the customer service was some of the worst I had ever received here. It started with us asking questions about the food trucks getting a response of "They aren't associated with us, go ask them." So we ordered your food, was delicious as usual. Your food pickup station wasn't cleaned or stocked, so my Fiancé went to ask one of your staff for napkins and to notify them that the station had none available. The staff member threw about 40 napkins onto my table, I thanked her and her response was a Millennial, spoiled 90210, skim latte "ugh yeah." She went right back on her phone at the counter. We finished our meal and I went to close out our tab, to your staff basically at this point all on their phones. I once again, THANKED YOUR STAFF FOR THEIR SERVICE TO US, to another sigh that turned into a conversation about how lucky I am to be off today. I would take the time to explain to your staff how easy it is to be positive and friendly, it makes for a much better experience for the customer. Without the customer, the paychecks don't pay. Getting my one night out shouldn't have been ruined by children who clearly don't appreciate even having a job during...
