Kokiwanee Nature Preserve Trailhead — Attraction in Wabash

In my opinion, this is a great starter trail. It’s easy and light, making it a perfect choice for those new to hiking. The waterfall, if you can call it that, is pretty cool, but it’s not the kind you’ll see on TikTok, showcasing the majestic mountains and waterfalls of Washington or Yosemite Park. This is Indiana, folks. This is the best you’ll get without driving 3-4 hours away. It’s not too bad if you’re in the Fort Wayne area. The time to complete this straight to the waterfall and back is probably less than an hour, probably 45 mins if you really wanted it...

An underrated trail. Multiple trails that branch out from the main trail and also come back to the main trail, which is great for casual/convenient walks. You can do a small loop or a larger loop, I could spend hours here. Always clean great for birdwatching, and we always see deer here. It's quiet and all the people I come across here...

Our first visit. The trails were very well marked and easy to follow. Lots of twists and turns so we never knew what to expect around the next bend.
