Woodway Park — Attraction in Waco

Love this park so much. Nice, clean, quiet, and a great place to relax with family and friends. This is the best place to come and enjoy watching the beautiful sunset in the evenings. At Woodway Park, people hike, ride bikes, walk, exercise, and play disc golf. They also have playground for little ones to play and have fun. We love bringing our dog here too so he can play and enjoy being outside. There is always police patrolling most of the time and that makes me feel safe to be at this park. There is also plenty of parking spaces, but not a lot of designated accessible parking space. Also, I have yet to see a bathroom at this park so I am unaware if they have some or where they could be located within the park! However, this is one of the best parks to enjoy the sunshine/sunset in Waco, Texas. Highly recommend this park.

03/26/2021 Stopped by today and was so happy to see that they installed bathrooms/restroom area located towards the entrance of the park. This was definitely needed and now it will be the most helpful new feature to the park. Now I can bring my full potty trained toddler and not have to worry about what will I do if we needed a bathroom. Did I mention that it's wheelchair...

Serene. Safe. Just what the doctor ordered… Ok, so I had to do 5 stars because I couldn’t give 4.5, but 4 would have been unjust. This place is great; the people that visit are friendly(almost everybody waves), the water and wildlife make the place ultra peaceful, and they have a full disc golf course. Moreover, you can hike or bike the trails!!! Oh… did I forget to mention you can fish here? Bad side???? Sometimes loud music, sometimes walkers(not GOT walkers) walk in the middle of the seemingly small roads(pothole filled), and there is almost no shaded parking. Other then those few gripes this place is awesome. Woodway Police(WPD) make this one of the safest parks in Waco…. this place is a most definite...

my beautiful wife and I visited just to relax and enjoy our day. The park and lake are very nice. People seem to respect other people's space. It is a family friendly park & lake. We took our two pups and they enjoyed as well. The only negative was US picking up other people's trash....sad sad sad especially when there are trash cans everywhere. That's the only complaint. I do recommend visiting,you won't be disappointed. All in all we had a blessed day. Thank you for this park and lake...blessings upon you all and be safe..oh,there is...
