Woodland Wonderland Playground — Attraction in Walker Mill

An absolute jewel! Its a very well maintained park with a few unique playgrounds, picnic tables, a decent bathroom, basketball courts, and even a great skate park that has never been busy! There is a giant slide that goes down the side of the hill, a playhouse with a bridge that’s designed as a piano that plays notes when kids step on certain pieces, and a few other small playground pieces that make for the perfect spot to play tag! There are several picnic tables that are in the back corner. They’re covered and even have built in baby seats to make eating much easier for those with young kids. It has a small splash pad in the back close to the picnic tables! The water is not yet turned on, but here’s to hoping it will be soon! That would really put this park over the top! There are even fun little surprises as you walk up the path to the park. The arch way plays music as you walk under it, there’s a joke telling fairy statue, and a few statues designed to echo words across to eachother when the kids whisper into the ears. The bathrooms and trash cans are cleaned constantly—we’ve seen an attendant every time we’ve visited. Fair warning—the cicadas are INSANE here! We happen to love them, so it’s an added bonus!

The skate park is amazing! It seems newer and has a bunch of seating, some covered, for families who just watch the kids having fun. We take our scooters and bikes. It’s NEVER busy—maybe 1 or 2 other people there at a time. There’s plenty of parking in front of both the park and the skate park. My daughter loves this playground and she's 9..I like it to as it has a variety of things to keep her occupies but also my 2 year old. I find some parks have to many big kids things or small kid things but rarely do you find one with both. I really do think the animals and nomes are weird lol..even my daughter thinks their creepy but that's jus a me thing lol..and the bathrooms were finally open..we jus...

It is a wonderful quiet place . We had a wonderful time until a grandpa playing with his tow grandsons tried to grab my son ( my son has autism and we don’t know the old man ) He scared my son so bad ( without paying attention to what he did he continued playing with his grandsons and laughing so loudly ). my son started to cry and he had a tantrum, So we have to stop everything...
