This overlook lies just east of Conata Basin Road, and just a few miles from the park's Pinnacles entrance station and the town of Wall. It's easy to reach, and the parking area is pretty generous. The view is mostly to the south and west over the Conata Basin and into the White River Valley. The area to the north, on the other side of the road, is mostly shortgrass prairie. There were no apparent social trails leading into the backcountry. As with all the overlooks, the views are spectacular. You should get amazing scenery at sunrise and sunset. Just be sure you find the actual gates to the park entrance that lead you to the Scenic Loop as the area is huge with Badlands National Park signs everywhere, but if you end up south of the Scenic Loop, roads can be bad with many potholes and no gas stations!
