Review addressing accessibility
Super cool/odd park! It has a few fun things, like the dancing rabbits, water play area, grassy areas, paved paths & ponds.
It is a pretty accessible space, too. The park has a couple of sidewalk paths that go around/through it. They are paved and in good condition. I saw one steep spot in the sidewalk, but I think it’s avoidable
There was no seating on any of the sidewalk paths that I saw, though the area where the rabbits are/the water area has some picnic tables with umbrellas. There are also boulders that some folks might be able to rest on at other parts of the wall
I wasn’t there when the water was on, so I can’t speak to that ground’s slipperyness. Though I do remember seeing a sign that said water shoes should be worn in the water area
GPS took me to an entrance of the park that is in a neighborhood. There’s no parking right by that entrance, so you have to walk just a bit, but it’s all paved sidewalks.
The walk to the dancing rabbits is pretty short from where I parked, it would be a nice short adventure! The walk up to the rabbits is paved, but a little steep. The rabbits are cool to see from below though too (where’s there’s picnic tables)
Lastly I’d just add that the rabbits themselves are a cool sensory experience!! They have all sorts of random things on them (coins, toy, keys, fork etc). It was fun to notice and touch all the little things that make these...
Read moreI was so underwhelmed by this park, especially since it looked so charming in pictures. A few small changes would make a world of difference. The location and size of the bathrooms is annoyingly far from the play area, especially considering the play area is a splash pad targeted at young children. I dismissed concerns about lack of shade because I don't usually mind, and was quickly proven wrong. We visited on a day that wasn't comparatively that hot and it was still miserable -- a couple umbrella tables sitting around to serve about twenty times as many families. And so much trash scattered around the field. It wasn't nearly the charming experience it looked like in pictures. There's not much to occupy the kids except the waterfall itself -- which admittedly, is very cool, it's just too bad it couldn't be located at a splash pad that has other useful features like easily accessible restrooms, shade, seating for parents and some features other than a handful of small boulders in a field of trash for kids to climb around...
Read moreSo, this place really does deserve 5 stars because it is an incredibly beautiful splash pad. The few unfortunate things that brought it down was the day I was here on the 4th of July, the waterfall wasn't working, just the spray jets. The one other thing is there needs to be more seating with shade to accommodate more people. There was 4 picnic tables, only 2 with shade. Otherwise the place is majestic. Well done layout and beautiful. There is ample parking. There are restrooms available near the parking lot. And the rabbit sculpture on top of the hill was impressive. I've been to many splash pads and this one really is at the...
