Mill Street Grains & Gatherings Event Venue and Distillery — Attraction in Washington Township

I had such high hopes for their new so-called "Bourbon Whiskey". I was excited for the fact that we had another local distiller in Ohio and practically right in my back yard. I eagerly paid the $38.50 for a bottle at the local liquor store and couldn't wait to get it home to savor it. From the moment I opened the bottle and took that first whiff all that excitement and anticipation just drained completely out of me. It smelled not at all like true bourbon should. It smells like it was aged in old port wine barrels. I took a reluctant sip and it was just awful; it tastes like some sort of cheap Slivovitz (European plum brandy) and if you've ever tasted a variation of slivovitz then you know how bad it is; not at all what real bourbon is about. My first thought as to why their labeling this "bourbon" is because they know bourbon is extremely hot right now and their trying to capitalize on the spirit's prolific name. Obviously, this isn't Kentucky and this is not at all a Kentucky Straight Bourbon recipe, but to try and put a bourbon label on this bottle is insulting. You may have gotten me to pay for this once, but there's no way in the world I'll ever make that...

We cannot say enough wonderful things about Mill Street! We had our wedding there on 9/9 and everything was absolute perfection. The venue was a great place with a lot of diverse sections for our guests to explore. Beth was AMAZING to work with and she answered all of my questions and concerns leading up to the big day. I honestly don’t know what I would have done without her. One of the main reasons we chose Mill Street was because of Doug and Beth. They have so much pride and their eyes light up when they are going through all that The Mill has to offer. We not only fell in love with the rustic industrial feel of the venue, but also with Doug and Beth. The food was catered by Watt’s Restaurant and could not have been more delicious or perfect for our day. I can’t say enough wonderful things about Mill Street! From the moment we booked, Beth and Doug went above and beyond to make sure our day was everything we dreamed of and more. They were so accommodating in every possible way — always checking in, making sure we had everything we needed, and genuinely caring about our experience.

The venue itself is absolutely beautiful. It has so much charm and character, and we loved being able to make it our own by decorating it exactly how we wanted. Every corner of the space feels special, and it created such a warm and inviting atmosphere for our guests.

Being able to stay in the Mill Street Airbnb the night of our wedding was the icing on the cake — it was truly magical to end the night right there, surrounded by so much love and happiness.
