Anacostia Riverwalk Playground — Attraction in Washington

This is River Terrace Park located in the River Terrace section of DC. The Gazebo is located in the front half of the park. The park as well as the Anacostia River runs through the entire neighborhood. River Terrace is the only neighborhood in DC that is comprised of River front property. This picture is not of the playground. The playground is about two miles down...

I grew up in this very nicely kept neighborhood...This park is very big, along the Anacostia River...Years ago River Terrace Park was supposed to get a swimming pool and rec center, just like Kenilworth Park...The older folks didn't allow this to happen...Then got upset when the kids had nothing to do....Other than that I LIVE RIVER...

It's not bad. It's a small playground area with a few sliding boards and three swings (1 for toddlers and two for older kids). Also has a couple benches for parents to sit and watch their kids. My granddaughter appears to have a great time...
