My son and his best friend and I went there on Sunday, February 4 for our first river float to view the eagles. All of a sudden this woman in a yellow vest came stomping across Highway 530 yelling at Captain Dave for handing out educational materials to people about the eagles, she was an angry older lady who told him he wasn’t even allowed to take his river raft past the interpretive center on the river. I couldn’t believe what I was witnessing. We came for peace and nature that everyone should enjoy, and this real life, Karen verbally ran after snd verbally tore a part this very kind man who gave us a grand adventure and education about these powerful and beautiful birds and nature that surrounded us. Shame on this woman for being so angry and toxic when all we wanted to do is just quietly enjoy and take in Mother Nature and whether it be while we’re on a raft or walking along, a trail, shouldn’t be her call. Captain Dave was the pillar of Grace, smiling and waving as we departed.

They had a volunteer out on the bridge with a scope set up to see them closer. He also was very educational and told me several things I didn't know.
