Beautiful preserve. Well-marked, well maintained trails. Decent parking lot with an overflow lot further down the road. Gardens to explore. Excellent views. A variety of terrain to enjoy. Multiple routes up/down the mountain. Dogs are allowed but must be leashed. It wasn't crowded when I visited but there was a steady flow of people. there isn't a lot of water along the trail in the summer so bring water for pets. Some of the trails are along fields so sun screen is recommended. There were some sections prone to bugs so bug spray is also recommended.

Great trails with varying levels of difficulty. I just finished a climb on June 26—it was a super hot day. We recommend using bug spray, wearing long pants, and regularly checking for ticks. Despite the heat, the forest canopy will keep you cool even on the hottest days. Go for the mountain top and take in the views. On the way down, visit the Hopkins Inn, about 5 miles away, for the most amazing food you've ever tasted. It's an Austrian restaurant that serves high-end American cuisine.

Absolutely beautiful! You get a little of everything on Meeker Trail - boardwalk over marsh, wide open fields bordered by trees, and a climb in the woods (some parts are a bit steep) to two viewpoints. Going all the way to Waramaug Rock is absolutely worth the extra leg of the trip! Meeker Trail is well blazed, so if at any point you don't see the yellow dot blazes (or see a different color), you may have found yourself on a different trail. Keep a close eye out at any intersections.
