Finding the entrance is a bit of a challenge. I'd recommend coming from the north side- via the north tinker hill road (there are three tinker hill roads, unconnected to each other now days- the north one has a logging trail like place to park, and you can climb the mountain without trespassing on private property from there.

The winter view is great from the summit, but if the trees have leaves you'll only get patches...

Not that interesting of a hike. Trail followed an old road with a few downed trees. Maybe it ended with a nice view of the lake, but we didn't make...
